Disgusting: Warmist Links Syrian Boy’s Death To “Climate Change”

Remember this from a few days ago?

Unhinged Warmist Fram Dimshaw makes the link, using the picture on the right to push his Cult

This is what a climate refugee looks like

A policeman tenderly scoops up the corpse of a small child on a desolate beach and within hours the image is an icon of grief and suffering around the world.

The child was three-year old Alan Kurdi, who fled with his family from Syria’s bloody civil war, joining millions of others seeking a new life abroad, victims of war, dictatorship, and a climate disaster that began nearly a decade ago.

“Some of you know the underlying story of what caused the gates of hell to open in Syria,” said former Vice President Al Gore in a speech he made on July 9 at Toronto’s Climate Summit of the Americas. “Our hearts are heavy when we even think about the tragedy in that land. From 2006 to 2010, [Syria] had a climate-related drought that destroyed 60 per cent of their farms and killed 80 per cent of their livestock and drove a million and a half climate refugees into the cities of Syria, where they collided with another million and a half refugees from the Iraq War, and the WikiLeaks disclosure of documents inside the Syrian government in that era show their discussion [of] ‘we can’t deal with this’.”

The rest of the article is about as stupid as you expect from a brain dead member of the Cult of Climastrology, ending with

But the strongest signal of all may yet be the image of a dead toddler on a desolate beach. An image of war – and a changing climate.

These people have absolutely no shame.

Let’s also not forget that these same people supported Obama ignoring the Arab Spring, and supported Obama/Clinton supporting Syrian leader Assad as a “reformer”.

Teach are you saying that the climatic conditions in Syria had no impact on the causes of the Syrian civil war ?

  2. Jeffery says:

Sociologists predicted global warming refugees would result from regional climate changes.

  3. david7134 says:

    john, jeff,
You both win the prize for the stupidest comments to date, and that is hard considering your records. Keep up the hate and bigotry, we learn more and more about liberals from the two of you.

  4. Jeffery says:

And you seem more upset by the claim than the tragedy of that little boy’s drowning.

  5. david7134 says:

    jeff,
Congrats, another stupendously stupid comment. You have a role going. By the way, the psychological term is transference. That is what psychos and neurotic use.

  6. jl says:

Yes, the UN predicted 50 million climate refugees by…2010. Whoops. Talk about stupid comments….

  7. jl says:

“Are you saying the climate conditions in Syria had no impact on the causes…” As usual John, you get it backwards. Even if that was the case, it wouldn’t be the climate conditions but rather what caused the climate conditions.

  8. Jeffery says:

    j or dave or Teach,

Were any of you heartbroken by the photo, or does your hatred of others trump what little humanity you may have had?

  9. gitarcarver says:

Should that be a question that you need to answer Jeffery?

After all, it is you and people of your ilk who see the little boy as a prop – a tool to be used to further your agenda.

You didn’t care about the child until he died and even then, you care only because he can be used as political fodder.

  10. Jeffery says:

    gitar,

I’m sorry I left you out of the question. Is your hatred so great that you cannot be touched by the image?

Are you heartbroken by the image? I am. Perhaps it’s because I have had children that age and currently have grandchildren that age. Do you feel for the father who lost his family and who went back to Syria to bury them?

Do conservatives even have such feelings or is hatred and fear your defaults?

But my initial outrage is actually not at global warming, but at the situation in Syria driving these people out.

How do we solve this humanitarian crisis?

  11. Jeffery says:

Note too that the right-wing government of Hungary is refusing to take refugees but was kind enough to bus them to Germany and Austria rather than forcing thousands of children to walk there.

An aside – check out the Fidesz party of Hungary – they are succeeding at what the American right-wing desires.

  12. Jeffery says:

Here’s a more thorough discussion of the image; and that doesn’t mention global warming. So you’ll have to find another reason to be outraged at liberals.

  13. gitarcarver says:

    Jeffery,

As I said, you see the image of the boy as a prop to support your agenda.

You didn’t care about the boy in the past or now.

You only care about how you can use his death to promote a flawed ideology.

That’s disgusting and I would think that a normal human being would understand that.

Perhaps that is why you don’t.

  14. Phil Taylor says:

It is also sad to note that many black refugee kids are drowned but do not get the same attention from the world as this little white kid.
That is another tragedy. What needs to be really done is instead of bringing these people to the West, we must bring the values of the West to these countries. Western values are not ideal but are far better than other places where social justice is a serious concern.

I do not think the West handled the Syrian cival war well and they made the situation worse.
On the other hand Syria is reclaimed desert and drought is a part of their climate just as it is for Texas and California. You can not live in desert terain and not expect and prepare for dought.

  15. david7134 says:

    jeff,
The picture is sad, but after over 60 years of seeing this over and over I am somewhat inured to the sight, especially when my job requires seeing it constantly. What bothers me most is that this is the picture of liberal/progressive agenda. This is in the lap of Obama and his failed presidency. The picture will be repeated many times again as the progressive agenda washes over the world and causes another world war, for nothing. Look at the pictures of WWI, a liberal construct, WWII at liberal nightmare, Korea the same and certainly Vietnam, all brought about by the same liberal/progressive agenda. That does not even touch what you have done to health care in the US and policies to Africa. Even the Jewish holocaust can be laid at the feet of liberals as FDR was well aware of the event and did nothing, why, because he hated Jews, just like most in the North. Read “White Smoke”.

  16. Phil Taylor says:

Another question we should be asking but do not is why doesn’t other middle eastern countries take refuges?
This is a question we have been trained not to even think about let alone ask.

Here is a link though that does ask this question.

  17. john says:

David certainly we all wish that the liberal FDR had done more to help the Jews before WWI
However let’s take a look at what American conservatives were doing before Pearl Harbor. Well a lot of them like Lindberg and Henry Ford were going over and receiving medals from Hitler who they greatly admired. Many conservatives went to Spain to fight alongside the Nazis. What are your feelings about that ? Sadz???
Try reading Loftus’s book trading with the enemy and you might finda few surprises: like why were the Ford factories in France never bombed when they were making German Army trucks? or why was Presscott Bush almost indicted for his dealings with nazi Germany AFTER Pearl harbor

  18. Jeffery says:

It’s true that 3 of the richest countries in the Middle East, Israel, Saudi Arabia and the UAE have taken no refugees. On the other hand, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt have accepted millions. And as you know, the Europeans are also accepting hundreds of thousands.

At latest count, 29 nations were accepting the refugees.

Well, maybe the government didn’t want their own people to go hungary trying to support thousands and thousands of refugees. 🙂

‘Twill not be so very long before you start hearing complaints from the citizens of the European nations about having to bear the cost of supporting all of the refugees. Those people will all require food and clothing and shelter from a European winter with which very few of them have any experience. Since the refugees (mostly) don’t speak European languages and are not part of European cultures, they will remain unemployed and unproductive throughout the coming winter, and that means that the Europeans who do work for a living are going to have to dig deeper into their pockets, are going to have to be poorer themselves, to keep the refugees from freezing and starving.

  20. david7134 says:

    john,
You read a book??? My God. Now, your attempts at obfuscation would work if you were dealing with your fellow liberals. But when you are dealing with intelligent people, we know many more details about the subjects from which you pontificate. American also fought along with the communist, they were the Lincoln brigade. Now, the communist were killing everyone in Spain and doing an ISIS number on art and buildings they disapproved of, but you forgot that. Then there is the aspect that the Nazis were really considered the next thing to buttered bread by the liberals due to getting people back to work and all the other socialistic themes you love. By the way, Stalin was busy killing about 30 million people at the time, because he felt like it. And finally, Time listed Hitler as the man of the year.
