Surprise: “New health care law complicates tax filing season for many in NC”

The heck you say

(Raleigh N&O) The new federal health care law means legions of uninsured and newly insured people face a daunting task in filing their tax returns for this year.

The imminent tax law changes are likely to bewilder the people for whom the Affordable Care Act was designed: low-income people who needed help to figure out how to buy federally subsidized health insurance.

H&R Block is predicting on its website that more than a third of people who received health insurance subsidies were overpaid and now will owe “pretty hefty repayment liabilities.” Others could end up paying hundreds of dollars in penalties for failing to buy health insurance.

The new law contains the most sweeping changes in the federal tax code in the past two decades and will affect between 25 million and 30 million people nationwide, said Mark Ciaramitaro, vice president of tax and health care services at H&R Block.

“It is going to be daunting,” Ciaramitaro said. “If you try to read the instructions, you will be mystified.”

    More fear mongering
Teach look at your track record on predicting about the ACA
First you said no one would sign up, but in fact mire signed up than were expected
Then you said well they signed up but they aren’t hokng to pay but about. 90 % paid
You said premiums would skyrocket but just google and you will see that in the 48 largest metro areas premiums are in fact going down
If you believe in what h&r block have to say well buy there stock

This is interesting – The leftists in charge lied about the ACA, and pretty much anyone with a science background knows they lie about the perils of global warming. But why do they do this?

In both cases, it’s to manipulate the people who put them in power (the electorate) into doing something they want. That’s pretty creepy. We are electing people to manipulate us. It should be the other way around.

Sorry john, but the numbers were less than expected.

    From MSNBC:

Federal officials on Monday sought to lower expectations for upcoming enrollment in Obamacare, announcing that they now believe that only between 9 million and 9.9 million people will be enrolled in Affordable Care Act health insurance plans by the end of 2015.

That is well below the 13 million people that the Congressional Budget Office has projected for Obamacare enrollment by the end of 2015. Open enrollment for 2015 plans resumes Saturday.

Then you said well they signed up but they aren’t hokng to pay but about. 90 % paid

Please look up the word “decimate” and figure out how one in ten not paying matters. (BTW – the rate for not paying is higher.)

Yes john there was a slight down tick in those areas. The problem is that the areas now offer less services and for the same price. Secondly, overall, the individual market premiums increased an average of 49%.

    Facts don’t matter to you.

    John,
When Gruber says that he was manipulating the stupid American voters, he was not referring to the conservatives. He was manipulating the liberals, like yourself. Do you realize that you are being manipulated daily?
