You Stay Classy, Joe Romm!!!

Why? This

Robin Williams In 2002: ‘It Is Beyond Global Warming At This Point. It’s Cooking!’

I’m not even going to bother excerpting beyond the headline, a bit of bat shit insane from Joe Romm, who sold his soul to AGW and George Soros. Suffice to say, Warmists (like all Progressives) use tons of events to push their insane cult. Holidays are their favorites. They also like blaming wars, earthquakes, volcanoes, snow storms, tsunamis, etc, on “climate change”. As Stephen Kruiser notes

A rational, compassionate human being doesn’t use a tragedy like this to make a political point. As many of us have pointed out over the years, climate change is a religious cult. These people know nothing but preaching their warped gospel.

But, then, Progressives/Warmists aren’t compassionate. Period.

  1. Jeffery says:

Joe Romm’s take was less political than that of America’s (if not the world’s) biggest asswipe, Rush Limbaugh. I haven’t heard any conservatpundits criticize Rush for saying liberalism killed Robin Williams.

    Stay classy, Rush.

  2. Jeffery says:

Shephard Smith on FOX called Robin Williams a coward for committing suicide.

  3. I heard comments from neither of them, though I did read that Shep apologized. Shep was wrong.

OK, just went to Politico and read a short article. While Rush is technically correct on the Leftist worldview, to link it to Williams suicide (which may have been about possible bankruptcy/money issues) is despicable and inappropriate.

Interestingly, you take umbrage with Shep and Rush politicizing Williams suicide, but not Romm.

  4. BTW, I went and read the actual transcript from Rush, and it has been completely mischaracterized. He’s not going after Williams, but the media’s portrayal. So, I withdraw my denouncement of Rush.

  5. david7134 says:

One thing you have to remember about Shepard Smith is that he is a flaming liberal. The guy is so obnoxious that I can’t watch him and turn the channel. The only thing worse is any thing on MSNBC.

  6. Jeffery says:

    Teach,

That is so much bullshit. If this isn’t politicizing Mr. Williams’ death, what is? Every statement he made about Mr. Williams was linked to “the left” or “leftists”. But it’s not surprising you defend him – he’s the “moral” leader of the far-right.

    Said Rush:

“What is the left’s world view in general? If you had to attach, not a philosophy, but an attitude to a leftist world view. It’s one of pessimism, and darkness, sadness. They’re never happy, are they? And they’re animated in large part by the false promises of America because the promises of America are not for everyone. As we see each and every day.”

“He had it all, but he had nothing. Made everybody else laugh, but was miserable inside. I mean it fits a certain picture — a certain image that the left has. Talk about low expectations and ummmm general unhappiness and so forth.”

“Robin Williams felt guilty that he was still alive while his three friends had died young, and much earlier than he had. He could never get over the guilt that they died and he didn’t. Well, that is a constant measurement that is made by political leftists in judging the country.”

    and then Limbaugh smeared Williams:

“Do you know… that the real reasons that Robin Williams killed himself are he was embarrassed at having to take television roles after a sterling movie career.

He had to take movie roles that were beneath him, sequels and so forth, and he finally had to do television just to get a paycheck because he was in so much financial distress. He’d had some divorces that ripped up his net worth, and he had a big ranch in Napa that he couldn’t afford any longer and had to put up for sale, and a house in Tiburon that he couldn’t afford anymore.”

Being a drug addict, you would expect Limbaugh to have more compassion.

Lewis Black put it best (on Facebook):

FUCK YOU Rush Limbaugh. Your statements were beyond cruel and stupid. They were intolerable. Enough is enough from you. You are an idiot. Don’t you ever demean the death of another human being. He was my friend. You disgust me.

    and then Limbaugh smeared Williams:

    Smeared him how?

    Rush was quoting an article:

But sources tell FOX411 that it was this immense success that contributed to Williams’ struggles to live up to his own exceedingly high expectations.

“Robin was very depressed. His TV series got cancelled, his last film ‘The Angriest Man in Brooklyn’ hardly opened,” one insider told FOX411. “He was in a funk.”

    ,,,,,

Another source close to Williams’ family said that aside from his professional pressures, William’s suffered from survivor’s guilt and was never really able to get over the loss of his three dearest friends in the entertainment world: Christopher Reeve, Andy Kaufman and John Belushi.

“Robin outlived them all. He was a sensitive soul who struggled with the unfairness of it all,” said the source.

So are you mad that Rush was quoting another article that gave information on the cause of the suicide?

I would ask if you were mad that you been caught not doing your research on what was said and the context, but that would require you to have shame or a moral conscience – neither of which you seem to posses.

  8. gitarcarver says:

By the way Jeffery, in another example that you cannot read or comprehend the English language, Rush was not commenting on Williams and his politics, but rather the politics of the coverage.

    Quoting the transcript:

RUSH: So our last caller from Des Plaines, Illinois, wanted to know, “What is the politics in the coverage of the suicide of Robin Williams?”

So either you cannot read or you deliberately took the quotes out of context to fit your agenda.

You’re either moronic or a liar.

    Probably both.

  9. Jeffery says:

Nice try, Humpty. The Fat Man repeated on air the smears from FOX.com., as if they were true. FOX said the quotes were from “sources”.

I’m always amazed at how devoted the right is to Limbaugh. As Teach just did, a rightist will criticize Limbaugh, but immediately take it back. Rightist followers depend on two pillars – 1) fear and 2) authority. You always need a Reagan or a Cheney to protect you from the bad guys. And it takes more courage than most conservatives can muster to challenge an authority figure such a Limbaugh – because it means excommunication from the cult. He could get caught sending his maid out to score him illegal drugs or get caught returning from a child prostitution haven with a pocketful of Viagra and his followers would still kneel before him.

So just stop it. Rush was linking Williams’ death to the left, period. Limbaugh is one of a kind when it comes to smearing others, as this fat tub of creamy goo tiptoes to the line of human decency. Occasionally he crosses the line, like now and when calling women who take birth control ‘sluts’ and ‘prostitutes’. (He sort of apologized for that when sponsors started dropping – he’s all about the money)

Like most conservative elites (right wing authoritarian leaders), he is a big, fat hypocrite fleecing the flock.

  10. gitarcarver says:

The Fat Man repeated on air the smears from FOX.com., as if they were true.

And to try and make your point, you smear someone else.

We can always count on you to do what is morally hypocritical.

But the question is, “was he actually smearing Williams? Or was he saying the truth?”

The other question is: ‘was he commenting on the politics of Williams (as you asserted) or the politics of the coverage of Williams’ death?’

Clearly he was commenting on the politics of the coverage, so your original assertion was wrong.

As for what had happened with Williams, Williams had made his drug and alcohol issues known. That he was having financial problems was known as he had made it public.

Only people like you would think that telling the truth is a smear.

So just stop it. Rush was linking Williams’ death to the left, period.

Thank you for once again demonstrating that you cannot read or comprehend the English language. Even as all the evidence and the quotes have gone against you and proven you are wrong, you want to continue to cling to the lie.

Limbaugh is one of a kind when it comes to smearing others, as this fat tub of creamy goo tiptoes to the line of human decency.

Wow. Not only do you smear him, you seem to have selective memory. You do remember calling the mother of Ted Neugent a “bitch” for no reason whatsoever, don’t you? Tell us all how your acts demonstrate “human decency.”

Quite clearly what has bothered you to this point is that you made a false statement, got caught at it and then had to lash out at others for your lies.

    That’s what you do.

  11. Jeffery says:

    Humpty,

    Yawn.

  12. gitarcarver says:

    Jeffery,

Way to stay classy as always.

But once again we see that you cannot refute an argument so you try and denigrate the speaker.

Oh well. We’ve come to expect that from you.
