This Just In: Obamacare Is Still Pretty Darned Unpopular

The hell you say!

(The Hill) Attitudes toward ObamaCare have only changed slightly despite the administration’s success in enrolling more than eight million people, according to a Gallup poll released Thursday.

The poll found 43 percent approve of ObamaCare, but a majority disapproves of it. (WT-the disapproval number is 51%)

A Department of Health and Human Services report released in early May confirmed more than eight million people have enrolled.

Of course, at least 6 million had lost their health insurance plans thanks to Obamacare. Furthermore, we learn from Gallup itself

Fewer than four in 10 adults (37%) say the law will ultimately make the healthcare situation better in the U.S., consistent with past measures. A plurality of Americans (44%) say it will make things worse, and another 16% say it won’t make much of a difference.

So, a majority think it will make healthcare worse. 16% think it will make no change. Millions have lost their insurance. A midline estimate from Team O itself estimates 90 million more will lose their plans. Deductibles and premiums are up, and are expected to go much higher. The economy is being damaged. It’s costing massive amounts of taxpayer money. All for a measly 37% thinking it will make things better.

The numbers should not be surprising. They’ve been negative towards Ocare since before it was passed, and continues to be negative. An AP-GFK poll last week found that “Forty-three percent oppose the law, compared with just 28 percent in support.”

Of course, Nancy Pelosi wants single payer. Because Ocare is working so well.

Teach you seem to have overlooked the all important TREND LINE. Since ACA (Obamacare) has been in effect the disapproval rate has fallen 8% from . Care to guess the time point when DISAPPROVAL will fall below 50%? I give it 2 months .
Americans just don’t seem to be worrying as much about those DEATH PANELS as they did before, do they.
As far as million have lost their insurance , well millions lost their insurance LAST YEAR before ACA went into force. There are about 250 million in USA who are insured the NORMAL turnover in any year is MILLIONS
But now at least people are guaranteed that if they DO lose their insurance they can get more even if they lost their job or their company cancelled them for ANY reason, and if they can not afford it the government will subsidize it.
When FDR pushed through Social Security (against the right wing conservatives who at that time also openly embraced Hitler) SS was not popular, but because of his foresight Americans accepted and then embraced it.

Lost your train of thought there J?

Americans just don’t seem to be worrying as much about those DEATH PANELS as they did before, do they.

That sounds like it might be a question. Not sure. But then, if it is a question, J certainly didn’t read the post as it detailed how a majority still do not like OCare. And, oh btw, Ocare contains Death Panels, as well as most of this federal bureaucracy. (see the VA).

thanks for obfuscating and ignoring the reasons for the loss in health insurance coverage. Before, it might have been due to loss of payment for premium, loss of health insurance due to loss of job, or a choice to no longer carry insurance. J seems to forget that those who’ve lost their insurance now was solely due to Ocare. A federal mandate.

It is one thing when I lose insurance for something I didn’t do, it is completely immoral for it to be taken from me because someone else felt they had a better idea about what I had to have.

and if they can not afford it the government will subsidize it.

That’s the Commie’s answer to everything these days. Let the gov’t cover your expenses. Let the gov’t tell you what you can or can’t buy, and then when you feel that you can’t buy it, we’ll just give you money for it. Robbing someone else in the mean time.

When FDR pushed through Social Security (against the right wing conservatives who at that time also openly embraced Hitler)

History really isn’t capable of being stored in your brain matter is it? Fascism is built upon Socialism. Socialism and Fascism is counter to Capitalism and Freedom. Socialism is counter to a Republic.

SS was not popular, but because of his foresight Americans accepted and then embraced it.

Many embraced Hitler and Stalin as well. Look where that got them and their countries.

    John,
The Republicans were against SS as they considered it to be unsustainable, the same argument with Medicare. Both programs are fall apart within the time spectrum that was predicted at the time.
