Captain, Since coffee is shipped from where it is grown to where it is consumed, the transportation of coffee (and tea and chocolate) contribute to HotColdWetDry. Heating the water to prepare it also contributes. Any Warmist would not consume such products as that would be hypocritical.

    Blick,

The objective is to reduce CO2 emissions wherever possible. So yes, eliminating coffee would reduce CO2 emissions. So would eliminating eating. And beer drinking. Cell phone usage. Smoking. Driving. Television viewing. Firearms manufacture and shipping. Churchgoing. Water purification. In fact, eliminating all consumption and activities could reduce CO2 emissions almost to 0! Perhaps a better approach would be to start replacing CO2-emitting energy sources with non-CO2 sources! You know, solar, wind and nuclear. While also reducing CO2 emissions with common sense conservation efforts.

It’s fascinating to see so-called freedom-loving conservatives proscribing activities of their fellow citizens. Why do you expect liberals to make all the sacrifices and pay all the taxes?

    Pirate,
You really have a serious troll infestation. They seem to need some mental help.

  4. Excellent points, Blick.

um, because you’re the ones advocating for these policies, perhaps?

Like the book says, jeff is mostly harmless.

  5. Blick says:

Jeffery, You are right, There are a lot of things that have to be given up to reduce CO2 emissions. And there is “non CO2 emitting) technology that could be used. However that technology produces CO2 in the manufacture and transport to the building site. (and later maintenance)

You are wrong that I want to proscribe CO2 producing practices. What I want is for you liberal/leftists warmists to lead by example. If you truly believe in CO2 warming and a pending disaster you would do everything in your personal and public power to eliminate CO2 emissions. Start telling us about your personal sacrifice(s) before preaching global warming. I can’t hear you until I see you practicing.
