Putting more citizens directly under the banner of Government health insurance. Guess who gets to pay the most? That’s right, other taxpayers
(WPRI) Since Oct. 1, more than 68,000 Rhode Islanders – roughly 6.5% of the state’s population – have signed up for health insurance through HealthSource RI, the state’s new Obamacare marketplace. But two-thirds of them have enrolled in a program that was actually created by Lyndon Johnson, not Barack Obama.
Medicaid, the government health program for low-income Americans, has gotten the majority of sign-ups on HealthSource RI: 48,602 of the 68,292 Rhode Islanders who used the new marketplace to enroll through March 8 were added to the state’s Medicaid rolls. (Even that may understate the Medicaid share, since 3,345 of the 19,690 who signed up for private insurance plans hadn’t paid their first premiums yet.)
This is working out so well.

If these Rhode Island citizens enrolled in the state’s Medicaid plan it means their income is low enough to qualify.
Isn’t it better for these poor people to actually have insurance than not? Isn’t it better for the country?
So an artificially set basement standard makes this acceptable?
If it is better, then shouldn’t they be working to obtain the insurance?
Or is it your contention that the poor do not know what is “best for them” and people like you need to not only tell them but to force others to pay for it?
Let’s see….. higher costs, less choices, less services, and less freedom.

Oh, and by the way Jeffery , Al Gore and you are still hypocrites in the AGW debate and your unwillingness of you, Gore and people of your ilk to change your lifestyle shows that your talk about AGW is bluster and that you don’t actually believe what you type.
