Obama Put Illegal Aliens Over Legal Citizens

In Mr. Obama’s rush to try and give relief to the children of illegal aliens, many of whom were actually brought to the US illegally, he harmed legal citizens

(Daily Caller) President Barack Obama’s 2012 unilateral legalization of 500,000 young illegal immigrants helped him win the 2012 election — at the cost of splitting 500,000 innocent, law-abiding American families for months on end, according to a New York Times article.

The ruthless political calculation was buried deep in the low-key article, which was published on page 20 of the local “New York edition” of the national newspaper.

Obama directed officials to award work-permits to the illegal immigrants, preventing them from preparing green cards for Americans’ foreign-born spouses and children.

“Until recently, an American could obtain a green card for a [foreign] spouse, child or parent — probably the easiest document in the immigration system — in five months or less,” the article eventually reveals.

“But over the past year, waits for approvals of those resident visas stretched to 15 months, and more than 500,000 applications became stuck in the pipeline, playing havoc with international moves and children’s schools and keeping families apart,” said the article.

Interestingly, most of these people stuck in Obama’s immigration hell are productive members of society, people with jobs who have earnings. Obviously, we do not want them bringing their families (hey, their spouses might actually work, too!!!!), because they won’t be sucking up American taxpayer funded social services and totally reliant on The Government. And these are people who won’t play games with the law. This comes in the 2nd to last paragraph of the Times’ article

Some lawyers urged Mrs. Bachert to come as a tourist to join her husband. After deliberating for two sleepless weeks, she said, she decided she would rather bide her time apart than lie to American customs officials about her intentions to remain in the United States.

Sheesh, if she would Do It Wrong, Obama would probably hook her up.

“After Mr. Obama announced the deferral program, known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, in 2012, he gave Citizenship and Immigration Services only two months to get it running,” the article said, without noting that the program had not been approved or funded by the nation’s elected Congress.

“Agency officials scrambled” to implement the president’s diktat, the newspaper said, adding that “soon after the deferrals were underway, Americans with green card applications felt the impact.”

Since this was a unilateral Obama Decree, there was no congressional approval nor authorized funding, and the agency had to prioritize the use of funding and resources. They chose to help illegal aliens rather than families of citizens. Hey, that’s what the top boss told them to do.

Wait, you mean there are consequences for rewarding illegals? Illegals are in fact moved ahead of the line?

So much for compassion. If these liberals truly believed in growing our migrant workforce, they would have greatly increased the green-card program. Allowing for greater and easier access for those who would be willing to migrate back and forth across our border, solely for work purposes.

But, they’d rather cater to illegals, and even bus illegal children across our border to our schools even though they don’t live in US.

Our country is destined for collapse.

  2. I like how the GOP leadership is saying they will hold off on immigration because they can’t trust Obama. Not because it is a Bad Idea to incentivize more illegal aliens to come and to reward Bad Behavior, and that Republican voters mostly hate the idea, no, because they can’t trust Obama (which is also true)

Perhaps Congress could pass a law and funding to expand CIS.

Ah yes. When all else fails, tax and spend more.

The budget of the CIS is currently $3 billion dollars.

How much of an increase in the budget should there be?

Secondly, once again we see the President acting by fiat rather than going through Congress. If the President wants money for the programs, go to Congress. If not, don’t complain when the money isn’t there.

Obama may have a pen and a phone, but he doesn’t seem to have a copy of the Constitution nor does he have a checkbook to pay for these programs.

Granted j is being snarky about law enforcement, but he does want an expanded and ever growing federal gov’t. So his motives, as always, are jaded.

GOP party so needs a new speaker and leadership. One that represents more American and Constitutional values.

From the House to the Senate, they are allowing this lawlessness to continue. I spit on them and their flagrant disregard of our constitution
