Why, Yes, Obama Is Fundraising Off His Speech Which The CBO Can’t Score

William —

If you didn’t see the President’s speech last night, you should take the time to watch the whole thing.

Last night, we saw a leader with a clear plan to get Americans back to work –and ready to fight to make it happen.

It’s the kind of speech you watch and think, “I’m so proud this guy’s our President.”

Watch the speech and let President Obama know you’re ready to fight alongside him to get the job done:

See, they’re proud because with liberals, it is about intentions, not results. Or plans. Of course we then get

So then he would have no trouble firing Jeff Imelt and telling Trumpka hes no longer welcome at the White House>?

    Of course he would.

  4. Heh. Time passes when you’re staring, eh?

Yeah, that part is seriously funny, Word. Like Obama doesn’t get money from “corporate interests” who also lobby the government, you know, those poor people donating $38,500 to have dinner and a picture with Obama.

The plans outlined by Obaman are the same ones used by FDR in the 30’s. FDR’s plans put us in a depression for over 20 years that wasn’t even corrected by a war, Obama’s plans will do the same.

Business is saying that the one factor they need is reliability. They need to know what the cost will be tomorrow. They would be helped by reduction in taxes and elimination of regulation and Obamacare. Instead they are have to confront a president that responds to an oil spill by eliminating drilling, with all the consequent rippel effect this has on small and medium business in the area. Then we have a president that shuts down an instrument maker for using wood that has already been approved and is used by his competors. We have a president that has no understanding of economics, just like FDR. In short, we are in a depression and will not get out anytime soon unless things change drastically in Washington.

    Maybe not, david.

The wood types are the same, but the issue with Gibson is the source. Gibson believed it was purchasing rosewood in India from a certified renewable source. It turns out the certification may have been forged or faked as the company that sold the wood is not actually certified.

Who is to blame for that is anyone’s guess. Certainly Gibson has a duty to make sure it is dealing with a reputable firm, and the firm has the duty to not be forging documents.

I agree that shutting the factory and threatening employees with jail time (as many Gibson employees reported) is way over the top.

The Gibson story has angles to it than just “wood being used by competitors.” But essentially, I agree with your point.
