Sad news for all of us Climate Realists, as we learn from Treehugger
The vast majority of Americans now believe addressing global warming should be a top priority for Congress and the Obama administration, a new Yale survey reveals. A pretty stunning 71% of Americans now think that tackling climate change should be high on the agenda — a departure from the last few years, where it languished as a low priority.
Well, darn, all that hard work exposing the climate alarmists and their junk science…..oh, wait
How’d they get 71%? By adding the top three numbers, including medium support. I guess Treehugger didn’t expect anyone to actually look at the actual survey results. Also, the question is so generic that even I would answer medium, because natural global warming can cause its own set of issues, such as drought conditions. While we can certainly infer that they mean anthropogenic global warming, others might not think so. So, I choose to look at it as saying that 61% are tepid on the whole issue. And there was really very little change over the years.
Equally fascinating is this — 91% of Americans say that “developing sources of clean energy should be a very high (32%), high (35%), or medium (24%) priority for the president and Congress, including 97 percent of Democrats, 89 percent of Independents, and 85 percent of Republicans.”
Not sure why that is “equally fascinating”: I would think most people are for clean energy. The difference between Dems and GOPers is how we get there, which is a discussion for a different post.

Obviously, globull warming has inflated Treehugger’s calculator readings: the figure is actually 66% (question 177, 28% strongly support, 38% somewhat support).

How much do you support or oppose a $1.50 fee added to your monthly electric utility bill to fund local programs to save energy?
Only 48% of respondents support, 11% of that is strongly support. So 52% are against paying even $1.50 a month more, and another 37% are tepid on the idea.
How much do you support or oppose a 10-cent fee added to each gallon of gasoline you buy, to fund local programs to improve public transportation?
Only 27% support, 7% of that is strongly support.
Bad news for the Alarmists: only 36% of Independents think tackling man-induced global warming is high or very high (Republicans come out at 19%).
Also, the Party affiliation breakdown is 36% Democrat, 24% Independent, 29% Republican, 10% other/no party.

I wouild not have posted that chart if I believed in human effects of global warming. The reason is the trend line. It clearly shows that the issue is losing support.
Liberals believe, and I say this with all due respect, that the rest of us are thoroughly stupid, and won’t figure out their antics.
They also don’t give a damn about those of us thinking human beings whom they consider stupid, we mean nothing to them, except when we are trying to prevent them from their agenda.
They themselves want so badly to believe it, a little fudging right on down to lying, is fine and dandy for their cause.
