Obama Plans To Address Debt On Thursday…

..just kidding. He will attend yet another fundraiser, with the election over a year and a half away, as Variety reports

As President Obama returns to Hollywood circles on Thursday for his first re-election fund-raising swing, it’s not difficult to find supporters expressing frustration or disappointment privately and publicly.

They’re really enthused, too!

“Everybody’s going to jump onboard,” predicted Heather Thomas, the actress-activist who holds a regular monthly gathering of progressives at her Santa Monica home. “What’s the alternative?”

What’s the alternative? Well, Democrats could nominate the local dog catcher, who still has more knowledge of economics and leadership than Obama. Anyhow, she sounds enthused, eh?

On Thursday, Obama will trek to Sony Pictures Entertainment in Culver City for a late-afternoon backlot rally with a capacity of 3,000 and Jamie Foxx on the bill as a “special guest”; tickets range in price from $100 to $2,500 for VIP seating. That will be followed by a much smaller dinner on the lot for some 60 people, with tickets priced at $35,800 per person; the president is expected to go from table to table to spend face time with donors.

A second dinner will follow at the Brentwood restaurant Tavern. Among those expected are such moguls and major L.A. figures as Jeffrey Katzenberg, Michael Lynton, Berry Gordy, Elon Musk and Russell Goldsmith, as well as the two Southern California finance co-chairs for the Democratic National Committee, Capital Group’s John Emerson and Tennis Channel CEO Ken Solomon

Hey, instead of donating, they could take that money and donate it to the IRS, as way to attempt to pay their “fair share.”

You just hit on a idea that has a considerable amount of sense. The politicians should redirect any money associated with their appearences to the government to pay down the debt. After all, the money is only for election purposes and thus not really theirs. This should be the answer whenever they start yelling, “tax the rich”. Great thought, get it to the RNC.

So the person running for office should take the money I want give for one purpose and redirect to another?

Last election Obama raised a record 750 million dollars. Compared to the debt, that is nothing.

I would rather give my money to elect someone who can control the debt through a responsible budget rather than some idea of “paying it down” through freedom of expression.

I was reading a hometown newspaper in my travels the other day.

The gist…..Utility companies dont pay their fair share of taxes to the states.

Hence to clean up budget shortfalls the states should tax utility companies more heavily.

I Have always questioned Why liberals/progressives continue to fail to see that CORPORATIONS do not pay taxes? WE DO.

I have finally concluded that they DO know this. They do not care.

This is just another example of a spending problem and not a revenue problem.

    A FAILED PRESIDENCY…..and the MSM shouted……….AMEN!!!!
