Let’s Celebrate Green Christmas By Using Reusable Bags!

I wonder if they are made in China and are full of lead?

Holiday shoppers in L.A. County are being asked to shun paper and plastic Thursday during the fourth-annual “Day Without a Bag,” when “Green Santas” and their elves will be giving away free reusable totes.

Volunteers will hand out 25,000 reusable bags at nearly 200 locations throughout the county during the event, sponsored by a coalition of retailers, local government and environmental groups.

Because that’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown. Say, I wonder what happens to all these reusable bags when they are thrown out after one use?

And here are some top tips for a green Christmas, just to make sure all your friends and family don’t want to talk with you during your get togethers.

Did you know there is an art to having a green Christmas?

Maybe you can get someone a green job….oh, wait: “Web site 5milliongreenjobs.org lists 8,735 available jobs. They are only 4,991,265 green jobs away from their goal!”

And, yes, now that you ask, they are already pushing a green New Years.

Geez, I thought the story was about Nancy P and Barb B. They look like very used bags (and unhinged tools).

Dang it. I haven’t gotten ready for this upcoming Joy-Filled Communal Seasonal Event Thing and they are already starting with the next holiday?

I’m waiting for the July 4th fireworks purchasing and launching holiday to be followed shortly by the ever-dwindling anti-religious “CHRISTMAS” decorations.

When oh when will people wake up and ban those those anti-religious “christmas” displays for the more communal and all-religious tolerant, non-personage-specific, non-event specific, religious holidays?

Won’t we be that much more happier then?

They gave those reusable bags out at Path Mark one day. I used them once. They were pretty good.

Gee thanks. So much for being free when our tax dollars are used to buy these for everyone who won’t use them.

So, maybe we should create some type of bag that degrades or decays naturally and is made from a renewable natural resource. hmmmm
what to do.. what to do. Sounds impossible……
