Good Job, Obama! You’ve Managed To Lose Even More Voting Blocks!

But, hey, he still might possibly have a few of the folks that watch The Daily Show left over

Critical parts of the coalition that delivered President Obama to the White House in 2008 and gave Democrats control of Congress in 2006 are switching their allegiance to the Republicans in the final phase of the midterm Congressional elections, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.

Republicans have wiped out the advantage held by Democrats in recent election cycles among women, Roman Catholics, less affluent Americans and independents. All of those groups broke for Mr. Obama in 2008 and for Congressional Democrats when they grabbed both chambers from the Republicans four years ago, according to exit polls.

If women choose Republicans over Democrats in House races on Tuesday, it will be the first time they have done so since exit polls began tracking the breakdown in 1982.

There is a little bit of good news for Obama and the Donkeys in the poll, yet, most simply shows people more and more prefer giving the Republican Party, which has a 5 point lower opinion than Democrats, a chance to fix the mess Obama has created/made worse.

He’s also starting to lose the liberal “let all the federal prisoners go” block, upset that he hasn’t given any pardons or commutations yet. Well, come on, give the guy a break. Between all the economy destroying legislation, parties, golf, and campaign events, he surely never realized he could do that.

Like several other national polls, the latest Times/CBS poll shows a considerable “enthusiasm gap” between Republicans and Democrats. Six in 10 Republicans said they were more enthusiastic about voting this year than usual. Four in 10 Democrats said the same.

That does not bode particularly well for Democrats come Tuesday night.

Obama’s approval ratings have been within 6% of the number who voted for him for over 6 months. His approval rating is twice as high as Bush had when he left

Factually false. Obama now has an “approval rating” (the total of approve and strongly approve) of 44%. Obama received 53% of the votes in the election. Once again you show a mastery of simple arithmetic in saying that 44 + 6 = 53.

The fact of the matter is that the number of people that “strongly approve” of Obama is sinking like a stone. The “strongly disapprove” number continues to rise. In fact, when Obama took office, his total approval rating was at 67% while total disapprove was at 33%. Now those numbers are at 44% approve and 55% disapprove. That is a massive drop in two years.

You really have problems with math, don’t you?

Bush’s approval rating when he left office was 35%. Obama’s approval rating sits now at 44%.

Even without a calculator, for your premise to be true Obama would have to have an approval rating of 70% to be twice that when Bush left office.

Not only does Obama not have that rating, he never has had that rating.

Once again, you are caught in a lie, Ryan.

Why isn’t Johnnycakes quoting polls as he did during the ’08 election cycle?
