Bad Driver? NYC May Soon Deny You A Gun Permit

Looks like the liberals have come up with a novel idea to deny citizens their 2nd Amendment Rights

New York City residents who want to own a gun may soon be denied permits if they are litterbugs, if they are bad drivers, or if they have fallen behind on a few bills.

Under proposed revisions to the police department’s handgun, rifle and shotgun permit procedures, the NYPD can reject gun license applicants for a number of reasons, including:

If they have been arrested or convicted of almost any “violation,” in any state; having a “poor driving history”; having been fired for “circumstances that demonstrate lack of good judgment”; having “failed to pay legally required debts”; being deemed to lack “good moral character”; or if any other information demonstrates “other good cause for the denial of the permit.”

Critics say many of the restrictions are vague, have nothing to do with one’s fitness to own a gun and are unconstitutional.

This would certainly keep most politicians from being issued a permit. And we all know the intent is too find ways to keep guns out of the hands of average Americans. No one is perfect. These revisions would make minor civil offenses into criminal acts, denying average Americans the same sort of protection people like, say, Mayor Bloomberg have, namely the ability to have a gun to protect themselves. That’s right, the Mayor has bodyguards who carry guns. Why don’t you have the guards give the guns up, Mayor?

I’m sure somewhere in the new revisions will be those loop holes for exemptions for said politicians, businessmen, etc who fall in line politically and pay to play. We need politicians who will honor and uphold the US Constitution and Bill of Rights.

    Too many parking tickets?

That’ll be bad news for most of the politicians. They NEVER pay their tickets.

Well, DUHHHH!! How else are they going to prevent you from Constitutionally-legally owning a gun?!?

Mojo, doubt their reps, and many in that corridor would even know what a gun looks like, let alone own one.
