Media Up In Arms Over “Brutal” “Head Stomping”

Don’t misunderstand, I do not condone what happened to MoveOn.org professional leftist agitator Lauren Valle (who happens to be charged with a felony last May). But, this was not brutal, as far left rag writer Joshua Green posits

MoveOn Supporter Brutally Attacked by Rand Paul Supporter

And it was not a stomping. Yest, the guy who pressed down on her shoulder and head with his foot is an asshole, no doubt about that. But, where was the media over the brutality of having ones’ finger bitten off? That’s right, it was a TEA Party member who had that happen to him by a……MoveOn.org member.

A TEA Party member being punched by a leftist in Greensboro is brutal. And

Those are just a few of the many, many examples of leftist violence mostly ignored by the media.

Oh, and as for the “Rand Paul blows off the incident” meme (which isn’t true)? Remember what Russ Carnahan put out after Kenneth Gladney a Black TEA Partier who was assaulted while in a wheelchair by Carnahan/leftist/Obama supporters

Carnahan issued a statement after the Thursday night’s forum, saying: “Sadly we’ve seen stories about disrupters around the country, and we have a handful of them here in Missouri. Instead of participating in a civil debate, they have mobilized with special interests in Washington who have lined their pockets by overcharging Americans for a broken health care system.”

Got that? He blames Kenneth.

It doesn’t excuse what happened (I would like to see the entire tape of what happened prior to tackling Lauren), but, perhaps liberals and the liberal media should look at what they themselves are and have done.

You don’t condone it ? gee that is might bipartisan of you. Here we have a guy a big guy who holds the face of woman down forcefully on the pavement. That guy oh yeah you seem to have forgotten to mention that he is/was the Bourbon County coordinator for Ron Paul, also was not acting alone another one of the security detail knocked her to the ground. They are now both identified as Tea Party and open carry promoters who obviously acted violently in this instant. It sure looks like assault to me Teach. She is now reported as having a concussion. Teach there was also another assault a woman (yeah left wing agitator) wearing a surgical slipper who had he foot stomped at teh same time. She ALSO is pressing assault charges. No charges were ever filed in the Gladney incident. I think we will see them in this one.

  2. John Ryan says:

yeah that finger bitten off was pretty funny an anti healthcare guy punched a pro healthcare guy and forgot to keep his fist closed. The finger that went into the mouth, yup he lost that one. Fortunately his healthcare visit at the ER was covered by medicare because. Apparently the nine fingered guy wants socialized medicine for himself, just not for other Americans

  3. John Ryan says:

here is abetter video of the stomp they had already chased her 3/4 of the way aroun the car containing Paul when they finally caught her and threw her to the groundhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rhjg2W7vlMc
you can plainly see that although at the end his foot is on her arm and shoulder (she is trying to cover her face at that time) the show starts at the head. THAT”S A STOMP BABY !!

  4. Rush Fan Numero Uno says:

Wow – are you married? Have sisters? A mother?

They must be very proud of you. Oh, sorry, I forgot – the lessons you were (or, at least, I was) taught about not hitting women is just a bunch of left-wing, “PC”, Alinskyite crap, right?

Oh, and what happened to Bill Rice? Turns my stomach. Respond in kind? No thanks, I think I’ll try to act like a civilized adult.

Yet you don’t condemn the attacks on people that disagree with those on the left. In fact, you try and justify them!

    Here’s a newsflash for you…….

The woman that was attacked made an aggressive move toward the car of one of the candidates. The SECURITY people responded, knocking her to the ground where another person held her to the ground.

There is no dispute about that. The question is whether the force used was reasonable. You, as always, have jumped to the conclusion that it was not justified as you view the woman as some innocent. Clearly she is not.

That does not give anyone to right to attack a person, but right now, the woman has been convicted of a felony before, so there is a little lack of credibility on her part.

Also, ask yourself “why was she attending a rally wearing a wig?”

People that are there to support candidates do not wear disguises as this woman did. Given her past criminal history, maybe she did not want to be recognized.

Clearly there is more to this story than meets the eye.

Yet the difference in the way you, Ryan, and the media have handled this is stunning.

Teach and the rest of us are saying that we don’t condone the violence. You, on the other hand are trying to justify it.

Once again, your hypocrisy raises its ugly head.

  6. David says:

    john,
What is you beef? Are unions the only ones that can use violence like this? I gues that is why you are so upset.

  7. John Ryan says:

Teach that Rand goon has been charged with assault, why do you think that no charges were brought before that GOP victim ? WAS IT RACIAL ??

  8. gitarcarver says:

Teach that Rand goon has been charged with assault,

As of this moment, he has not been charged. Why do you feel the need to lie?

why do you think that no charges were brought before that GOP victim ?

Could it be that the prosecutor was a liberal?

    WAS IT RACIAL ??

It may have been. So why are you excusing violence against blacks and other minorities?

What is amazing is that you still haven’t condemned violence against conservatives and Tea Party members. You have no credibility.

  9. Trish says:

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU RYAN?

No one here would condone such ignorant cowardly behavior towards anyone from any political spectrum, including people who are intentionally trying to stir the pot and well known and even famous for their provocative behaviors. There is still no excuse for the actions at the Rand event.

However there’s nary a peep from the bleeding heart liberals when a conservative or even a nonpartisan vendor at a conservative rally gets beat up by thugs from SEIU or one of many other union activists. Nothing but crickets when conservatives get beat down at different events.

That’s what the problem is Johnny, it’s a one way street all the time with you people. Always. In all cases.

You cry like a baby when it’s your side who’s been mistreated, which rarely happens, but when it’s been our side for the past 10 years that has suffered multiple attacks on us- both verbal and physical (you can look back to the Republican convention in 2008 as well as all of the links Teach added) we’re told to sit down and take it. Or we’re just plain ignored by the largely leftist media. When we stand up for ourselves, we aren’t given the same fair treatment as liberals give themselves.

And if ONE idiot on our side acts like a jerk, you all act as though we were a part of it and accuse us of condoning said bad actors, and condemn an entire group for one bad egg, which is perhaps propelled by your own guilt by your associations. News Flash. We’re not like your Union thugs pal, we are not organized like Union thugs, nor do we have the backing of MoveOn nor any of the many Soros organizations.
We’re for the most part a large group of like minded citizens who respect all Americans, even folks like you, and only want our freedoms, and a chance to give voice to civil discourse, that actually includes our viewpoints once in a while.

  10. CW says:

Not only was Bill Rice’s finger not bitten off (his pinky tip was), Rice instigated a confrontation and then punched a man twice, the second blow landing in the man’s mouth. So he lost his pinky tip. This is before Rice went to the hospital, covered by Medicare.

Also, if you watch the video footage of the Kenneth Gladney “beating,” you’ll see it begins with a union man already on the ground as who appears to be his buddy stands guard. An obscured Gladney appears to stand forward close to the man on the ground before being pulled down by a union guy that rushed over, and they both fall (including Gladney). Then they get back up just as quick (including GLADNEY). Gladney proceeds to ask for cops and speak to a reporter. He inexplicably is later displayed in a wheelchair covered in bandages. It’s possible the injuries didn’t impact immediately -that does happen- but watch the video and you’ll see it’s a case of stupid brawl with people reacting to a union guy on the ground: http://crooksandliars.com/david-neiwert/faking-victimhood-just-how-hurt-was

Lauren Valle didn’t do anything morally or legally wrong. They assaulted her once Paul was gone. Some guys just wanted to put her in her place.

  11. CW says:

And if you think the video is somehow altered because it’s from a liberal website, here’s an even clearer video from a conservative website: http://www.mofopolitics.com/2009/08/07/video-democrat-union-thugs-beat-up-black-protester-at-carnahan-town-hall/

Do you really think the video footage supports the title? Was Gladney “beaten up”? Was there not already a union guy on the ground, shown later walking towards the camera holding his shoulder? Does this depict a vicious attack on Gladney or a stupid scuffle where a few people were injured?

  12. John Ryan says:

And Gladney was not in a wheelchair when that happened was he? That is not the way I remember it. And of course there were ZERO convictions on that case. Teach why not tell the truth?? Why not just come out and say that Gladney was NOT in a wheelchair ?

  13. gitarcarver says:

Lauren Valle didn’t do anything morally or legally wrong.

Valle made an aggressive move toward the car containing Paul. She has admitted that.

Is it your position that people shouldn’t have stopped her from that move?

Was there not already a union guy on the ground, shown later walking towards the camera holding his shoulder? Does this depict a vicious attack on Gladney or a stupid scuffle where a few people were injured?

It depicts the END of a scuffle where some people came to assist a person being attacked by others.

And of course there were ZERO convictions on that case.

You do realize that the case was postponed, right?

And you do realize that the Gladney was accused of “not being black enough” and an “Uncle Tom,” right?

So the question is, Ryan, why do you support the actions, violence and rhetoric of racists such as the guys who attacked Gladney?
