Latest Mosque Supporter TP: No One’s Complaining About The XXX Stores!

They little dhimmi liberals are digging deep to find some rationale for their support of the proposed mosque just a 600 yards from ground zero, in an area that was actually peppered with debris. Latest unhinged and clueless talking point, which, surprisingly, CBS News actually shoots down quickly

Some victims’ families say the Islamic center would pervert the mood at Ground Zero, but two blocks from what Mr. Obama called “hallowed ground” are a number of businesses – strip joints, stores selling X-rated DVD’s – striking a far different tone than the families want.

Retired New York Fire Department Deputy Chief Jim Riches, who lost his firefighter son Jimmy on 9/11, said that’s different.

“I’m not for all those buildings, but, you know, they didn’t murder my son,” said Riches. “Muslims murdered my son. That’s why I’m offended at this being here.”

Bingo! The strippers, excuse me, exotic dancers at New York Dolls are not a threat to hijack a plane or strap on a suicide vest (though, they have been know to cause premature detonation at times). The folks going to Offtrack Betting are not going to preach the need for Sharia compliance in America. The workers at McDonalds, Express BBQ, The Vitamin Shop, and Dunkin Donuts, among others, will not quibble and obfuscate when asked if Hamas is a terrorist organization. The street vendors won’t walk away from their wares to let them explode to kill the infidel.

All these specific businesses are featured in a photographic essay that made its way around the Left-O-Sphere Monday and is still featured at Memeorandum as a way of showing that the area around the former site of the World Trade Center is not “hallowed ground,” so, in their dhimmitude, they want another mosque.

Yes, there is an actual mosque four blocks from Ground Zero, the Masjid Manhattan. Sort of. They are currently in a small rental location, having been evicted (I searched, can’t find a reason why), and, they actually have this

Masjid Manhattan and its members condemn any type of terrorist acts. In particular, the attacks of 9/11 where non-Muslims as well as Muslims lost their lives. Islam always invites for peace; therefore Islam is not responsible for the actions of some ill individuals who, independently from what Islam advocates, have hatred against humanity. As Muslims and as Americans, we will never forget the beloved ones who perished that terrible day of September 11, 2001.

That’s a far cry from the leader of the Cordoba Project failing to call Hamas a terrorist organization, calling for Sharia, blaming the Jews for 9/11, and so on. Perhaps, had Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf come out against Hamas and other Islamic terrorist organizations, not pushed for Sharia, not blamed 9/11 on the Jews and on the USA, this whole issue might have been moot.

The NY Daily News tries the same approach, calling the area a “sea of filth” (check the hyper-link), with little acknowledgment that strippers and such aren’t a threat.

Jim Treacher explains the 3 things he has learned from the Left about the 9/11 Debris Field mosque.

The IRA was 100% Catholic but no one called for Catholics to stop building churches because of the IRA bombings People should be able to differentiate between politics and religion

And the IRA bombed what building on US soil?

In fact, the IRA has not bombed or committed an act of terrorism outside of the UK.

Are you that desperate that you can’t see the difference?

People should be able to differentiate between politics and religion

Clearly you need to follow your own wishes.
