Initiative To Do Away With California AGW Legislation On Ballot For November

The question is, will Californian’s come to their senses and vote to essentially do away with their cap and tax legislative idiocy?

An oil industry-supported measure that would suspend California’s global warming laws has qualified to be on the state’s Nov. 2 general election ballot.

The initiative, which would halt enforcement of the Global Warming Solutions Act until the state’s unemployment rate falls to 5.5 percent or less (WT note – 5.5% or less for 4 consecutive quarters), had enough valid signatures needed for ballot certification, California Secretary of State Debra Bowen said in a statement on her website.

Oil industry supported, huh? Sure seems like it is supported by many more people, seeing as how it made it on to the ballot. With 800,000 signatures. Of course, the climate alarmists, generally lefties who support direct democracy, are against allowing people to actually vote for this initiative, because support of a fake issue is more important than California’s 12.4% unemployment rate.

Ahhhhhh-nold is not too pleased

This initiative sponsored by greedy Texas oil companies would cripple California’s fastest growing economic sector, reverse our renewable energy policy and decimate our environmental progress for the benefit of these oil companies’ profit margins. I will not allow this to happen on my watch. We will continue moving this state forward with our comprehensive energy policy that creates jobs, reduces our reliance on foreign oil and ensures the California we love will be the California we hand over to the next generation.

Kinda hard to discuss a growing economic sector with 12.4% unemployment, isn’t it? Looks like he doesn’t want to allow people to vote, either. Not to mention that every “green” job kills 2 real jobs. I suppose if the California you love is one with rolling blackouts, high unemployment, sky high taxes and energy costs, then vote against the initiative. But, hey, it’s not like Arnold is an “eco-hypocrite“, what with his McMansion and big cars, right?

“This initiative sponsored by greedy Texas oil companies” – as opposed to those other, more philanthropic oil companies, yannow.

“…would cripple California’s fastest growing economic sector” – it might actually slow the flood of businesses fleeing the state.

“I will not allow this to happen on my watch.” – better check your watch, slick, I think your time’s up.
