Resolution Denouncing Alan Grayson (D) Coming?

Catching up on the Alan Grayson affair from yesterday, in which I figured that there would be no condemnation resolution submitted by the GOP, well……….

House Republicans changed course on Wednesday and decided not to move forward with a resolution condemning Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Florida, for saying that the GOP health care plan calls for sick people to “die quickly.”

“It’s a very simple plan,” Grayson said in a floor speech about health care on Tuesday night. “Don’t get sick. That’s what the Republicans have in mind. And if you get sick America, the Republican health care plan is this: die quickly.”

Tom Price, the Georgia congressman who chairs the conservative Republican Study Committee, announced Wednesday morning that he would introduce a resolution condemning Grayson for breaching House decorum.

But a few hours later, Price decided to hold his fire and give Grayson a chance to apologize to House Minority Leader John Boehner for his remarks.

OK, giving Grayson a chance to apologize. Queen Nancy gave Joe Wilson a chance to apologize…..wait, he did. Just, not on the House floor, so they said bad boy, no biscuit! And I doubt one will be coming, since Grayson doubled down and compared health care shortcomings to the Holocaust saying he’d apologize to the dead. Back to the original article

Asked if he will introduce the resolution if Grayson refuses to apologize, Price said “we’ll certainly consider it.”

He noted that House Democrats set a precedent for punishing bad behavior when they voted in favor of a resolution formally disapproving of Republican Joe Wilson for shouting “You lie!” at President Obama.

“That was the avenue that was defined by the Democrats in charge when someone breaches the decorum,” Price said. “So we chose the same vehicle.”

In other words, if the Democrats want to play these games, so will the GOP. I hope. They were way to passive during the Bush years, rarely fighting back with more than a shot across the bow. It would be about high time to fight dirty, like the Democrats do. Politics is a dirty nasty game.

The one cute talking point I keep hearing from squishy Republicans is that the “GOP is better than that. It is above all that.” They have sure acted that way, and look where it got them. Along with spending like moderate Democrats. But, they shouldn’t be. Politics has always been dirty. The GOP needs to learn to play in the mud.

Oh, and as for the “Party of No” TP? That worked very well for the Democrats through the first three quarters of the Bush years, no?

I was thinking that maybe some tar, feathers and a fence rail would be in order. Or just take him to spring roundup and drag him through the manure and such, behind a horse.
This old seadog has absolutely no use for a waste of sperm such as this.
