Big Bottomed Girls Safer From Hip Injuries

Bubble butts rejoice! (and, before I get outrage, I could stand to lose about 20, and I tend to accumulate it in my butt)

A major decline in the proportion of Canadians suffering hip fractures may be partly due to people weighing more and having bigger buttocks, researchers say.

The additional weight provides more cushioning during falls, the researchers say in a study published Wednesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

“It’s one of the interesting hypotheses,” lead author Bill Leslie told the Toronto Star. “Individuals who are underweight … don’t have that padding.”

This should be good news to Americans, who are able to over-eat because of how great America is. Unfortunately, government mandated health care would council puggies to lose that weight, perhaps fining you, putting you at more risk for hip injuries. But, until then, get busy!
