Not shocking in the least. The hard left progressives have been foaming at the mouth to investigate and prosecute CIA employees, along with Bush and people from his administration, of course. So, what are we now getting from the same Justice Dept. that decided to drop a slam dunk case against members of the New Black Panthers? We get more politicization in the form of investigation recommendations
The Justice Department’s ethics office has recommended reversing the Bush administration and reopening nearly a dozen prisoner-abuse cases, potentially exposing Central Intelligence Agency employees and contractors to prosecution for brutal treatment of terrorism suspects, according to a person officially briefed on the matter.
The recommendation by the Office of Professional Responsibility, presented to Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. in recent weeks, comes as the Justice Department is about to disclose on Monday voluminous details on prisoner abuse that were gathered in 2004 by the C.I.A.’s inspector general but have never been released.
When the C.I.A. first referred its inspector general’s findings to prosecutors, they decided that none of the cases merited prosecution. But Mr. Holder’s associates say that when he took office and saw the allegations, which included the deaths of people in custody and other cases of physical or mental torment, he began to reconsider.
Got that? Holder began to reconsider. Surprise! Not really. It was his decision to drop the case against the New Black Panthers, and, it is his decision to go after CIA officers. Yes, some of them went over the line. According to the 2004 report that the ACLU sued to get released which covers the abuses, many of these officers have already been disciplined. All this threat will do will make a lot of people reconsider a career in Intelligence, and specifically at the CIA, not too mention putting American lives in harms way. We’ve seen how the Religion of Peace (sic) acts over things like cartoons and fake flushing of Korans.
No matter what the left thinks feels, we are in a war against radical Islam. In war, bad things happen. Politicians on both sides of the aisle can try and soft peddle it, but, it is a war. Not always a shooting war. The march of Sharia and the subversion of Democracy both here and around the world continues. We hear about more and more honor killings in first world countries. Mosques and Islamic schools teach radical Islam in more and more places. It is a war. And, with Intelligence officers scared to do their jobs, radical Islam will be able to spread more easily.

In another development, President Obama signed off on setting up a special interrogation team that would be placed at the FBI but report directly to the White House-based National Security Council.Â
Though such work typically falls to the CIA, one senior U.S. official told FOX News that the CIA did not want to house the new initiative.Â
“They’re glad to be out of the long-term detention business,” the official said.Â
Is it any wonder why the CIA no longer wants to part of collecting information from high value targets? Will there soon be a Jihadi Czar?

Teach perhaps you should also read for yourself the heavily redacted report. The waterboarding described is NOTHING like that performed in our SERE schools. It is exactly like that which was done by the Japanese during WW II and the soldiers that we prosecuted for doing it during the Vietnam War, And of course mock executions are specifically declared illegal under our own laws. When you break the law you should be prosecuted, if found guilty then you should receive an appropriate sentene by a judge. That is the way it works under the rule of law
