Obama Calls America “Arrogant” During Speech In Strasbourg

If nothing else, at least Obama is consistent with the far left progressive movements blame and denigrate America first, foremost, and always, opinion

Later, President Obama told an audience in Strasbourg that the US and Europe had allowed the alliance to drift in recent years.

He said the US had been “arrogant” and “dismissive” towards its allies, while there was “insidious” anti-Americanism in Europe. He said these attitudes had to change.

The only attitude I would like to see changed is the one from the President of the USA, who doesn’t seem to like anything about the USA. Jimmy Carter is sure to be enjoying this, since he will soon be not known as the most America hating president ever. And yes, this does make me madder then hell.

Gateway Pundit catches Obama bashing Bush and apologizing for liberating Iraq. Maybe Obama wants to join the Dixie Chicks on tour.

Obama better be careful here. The last thing he wants would be a Europe willing to defend itself.

As He is discovering with Japan – who is facing down a North Korean missile launch – strength is necessary to preserve peace. Japan can’t defend itself alone and may have to accept a violent neighbor capable of wiping out several of her cities with nuclear blasts.

As others gain strength and start to raise armies that can fight (not like the Germans in Afghanistan), they become independent. Obama wants nations and people reliant – not independent.

Beware Europe! The Savior you are celebrating may turn out to be your enslaver!

If he’s talking about how the liberals used to treat our allies who sent relatively small contingents of troops to Iraq (compared to the overall war), then I’d say he’s dead on the money!

    “Bring it on”

  4. Um, John? That quote was aimed at Islamic terrorists.

yes of course it was and shows arrogance. Oh and by the way Teach it was a wise move to take down the leaping barracuda when you did. The Palin’s have made the news again

President Obama was referring to the arrogance of the Bush Administration and not the attitude of Americans in general. Bush made no friends for the USA in Europe over the course of his 8 years in office. The only measurable assistance he got came from England in the fact that they sent a meaningful number of troups to Iraq. I have traveled in Europe and I had to appologize for the arrogant attitude of President Bush.
