Surrender Monkey Friday: Race Baiters Force An Apology

surrender monkey al sharpton

Of course, we all know the (contrived) controversy over the NY Post stimulus cartoon, which sent libs and the typical race baiters into apoplexy. Sharpton, as usual, had a freak out

Hundreds of demonstrators rallied to boycott the New York Post on Thursday, branding the newspaper as racist for publishing a cartoon that appeared to compare President Barack Obama to a chimpanzee.

Demonstrators led by civil rights activist Al Sharpton chanted “End racism now!” outside the parent company’s skyscraper in midtown Manhattan and called for the jailing of Rupert Murdoch, whose international media conglomerate News Corp owns the Post.

Now, if Sharpton was really concerned with ending racism now, he would call for the dissolution of groups such as the Black Panthers, the NAACP, and the Congressional Black Caucus, groups which are based solely on race. But, we all know the liberal mantra: “do as I say, not as I do.” But, the NY Post, as a wise business does, offered a slight apology

Wednesday’s Page Six cartoon – caricaturing Monday’s police shooting of a chimpanzee in Connecticut – has created considerable controversy.

It shows two police officers standing over the chimp’s body: “They’ll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill,” one officer says.

It was meant to mock an ineptly written federal stimulus bill.

Period.

But it has been taken as something else – as a depiction of President Obama, as a thinly veiled expression of racism.

This most certainly was not its intent; to those who were offended by the image, we apologize.

But…

However, there are some in the media and in public life who have had differences with The Post in the past – and they see the incident as an opportunity for payback.

To them, no apology is due.

Sometimes a cartoon is just a cartoon – even as the opportunists seek to make it something else.

However, does anyone think that will stop the race baiters? Doubtful. Because we are a “nation of cowards,” and there just aren’t enough brave souls to tell it like it is. Or, maybe there are

Oops. Can I say “went ape” anymore? How about “going bananas?” Shall I refrain from asking the race demagogues to quit “monkeying around?” Do I erase “It’s a jungle out there” and “It’s a zoo” from my lexicon? How about “beastly?”

Expect Michelle Malkin to continue telling it like it is, and throwing the PC back in the faces of opportunists like Sharpton. I wonder if I am allowed to continue asking the Surrender Monkey to do his weekly Friday show? Is it racist?

First it is not black folks who started this. If such was the intent it is on the post and such is foul. Howevwer, i wish we took as much action against HIV, children not being able to read and black incarceration rates as we do or did this cartoon

  2. All Mi T, no, it wasn’t Black people per se that started this, but, liberals and race baiters (who are not always Black) who looked at the cartoon and went ballistic without even considering the true meaning. Plus, these same people ignored the racist cartoons directed at Condi Rice and Colin Powell.

And, yes, I agree with your last sentiment.

Once again blacks start a brouhaha over something they find “offensive.” To those coloreds who were offended “GET A LIFE.” I support Mr. Delonas’ cartoon and his critical assessment of Obama politics 100%. Obama politics + Obama stimulus = fraud.

The chimp is not racist. Wait a munite maybe he was racist he did attack a White woman. But the chimp in the cartoon is not a racist attack on blacks or Obama.

The New York Post unfortunately gave in a little and apologised to those who were offended. That was the paper’s only mistake. No apology was needed.

Hard right is having a real hissy fit of this apology
