Raccoons Invade White House Yard, Looking For Bailouts, Perhaps?

But, apparently, Obama doesn’t like raccoons, either

A small band of masked intruders has broken into the secure White House grounds and has evaded capture by agents of the new Obama administration, officials said today.

The National Park Service is in pursuit of one very large raccoon and several medium-sized raccoons, who have been spotted roaming the grounds around the Executive Mansion and the West Wing, a spokesman said.

“The idea of raccoons on the White House grounds give us great pause,” spokesman Bill Burton said.

So far, the raccoons have evaded capture despite the presence of several “live traps,” which are essentially cages with a one-way doors to keep the animals inside.

Hah! Raccoons 1- White House 0

Not to beat a dead horse (who am I kidding, I’m going to beat this drum for at least a year or two), but, imagine if Dubya was in the WH when this occurred. The NPS states that, once captured, the raccoons will be released in a wooded area. Liberals and all sorts of animal rights groups would be screeching that the raccoons should be allowed to stay. Anyhow, they would go perfectly with Obama’s White House farm, eh?

PS: I like raccoons. I think they are amusing. I know they made dear old Dad nuts, what with the way they went after the garbage cans, but, I didn’t have to clean it up 🙂

Do you realize that many of your posts are now like this one, Teach? “Liberals did it, so now I’m going to do it (wink, wink, nod, nod).”

I understand your frustration with how President Bush was treated but if it was wrong then, why is it OK now?

  2. They are meant to highlight the idiocy of the left, Silke. Why should Obama get a pass, when they went stark raving mad on Bush?

  3. Trish says:

This is not real is it? This is not possible. I mean are you really saying there’s coons at the White House?

  4. John Ryan says:

Teach is actually grateful for left wing idiots, but he seems to have forgotten that Obama was chosen POTUS by the center of American voters, not the extreme fringe

Teach, being an idiot in order to highlight someone else’s idiocy only confirms your own.

Why should Obama get a pass, when they went stark raving mad on Bush?

Obama should get a pass for the same reason Bush should have gotten one. The point is, you don’t argue against a behavior by then doing it yourself.

  6. Trish says:

Oh fer heaven’s sake lighten up Silke.
If we want to rant a bit about the Big O, who cares?
Unlike with President Bush, where all day in print and in audio, and prime time TV and Tshirts and books, almost anywhere you looked people took shots at the man, with BO you seriously have to GO LOOKING ON RIGHT WING BLOGS to read ANYthing negative about him.

I almost agree, that we should be above the types of actions that the left took, but it’s a darn fun opportunity to get some paybacks…

I suggest you stop reading right wing blogs, and peace will be with you.

  7. Silke says:

If each side keeps trying to “get some payback” when does it end?

Conservatives are better than this – even if it is in the context of payback. I know you don’t represent all conservatives but it’s still disappointing to see.

  8. John Ryan says:

Trish you may have forgotten one thing in your comparison, Bush was the most hated President EVAH On the other hand Obama has record high approval ratings yet some still seem to hate him.

  9. John, Obama won partly because McCain blew it, and the media failed to do their jobs in telling us who Obama is and what he stands for. And, yes, I do love left wing nutters. I find them amusing.

Silke, lighten up, sheesh. When I start accusing Obama of actually doing stuff that is moonbat for real, then you are welcome to come after me. And, quite frankly, for someone who seems enamored with liberal ideas, you have no right to lecture me on conservative ideals. And Bush go zero pass from the left and their media.

And, yup, Trish is right about being above the left, but, yup, it is fun to take these shots. One thing no one can ever accuse me of is being too serious. Gotsta have some fun!

Silke, payback is part of Politics 101. It has ALWAYS gone one, and always will. It is a dirty, nasty game.

John, y’all on the left wouldn’t even respect the office of the president, and NEVER gave him a chance, so, save your sanctimony, OK? And, Obama is doing pathetic things and it hasn’t even been three weeks.

  10. Silke says:

Face it Teach, you are becoming what you claim to despise. You’re no better than they are and as a conservative I’m going to call you on it every time.

  11. Lighten up. Ever heard of the word “snark?”

Go spend some time at the Daily Kos or Democratic Underground, then you will see nuts.

I don’t dispute that, but their behavior does not excuse yours. It may explain it but it doesn’t excuse it.
