AGW Happenings: Indoctrination, Moving Animals, Moving People

Creating more climazombies

A GROUP of Scarborough students learned all about their carbon footprint at a recent roadshow in Scarborough.

The Carbon Footprint Roadshow, run by BP, called at George Pindar Community Sports College in Moor Lane, Eastfield.

Its aim was to raise awareness about issues surrounding global warming and the students took part in role play exercises, planning and group work.

Oh, good, more awareness raising. Have you ever wondered why none of these events end in, you know, action? As the old saying goes, if the question starts with why, the answer is $$$$. Hint: buying carbon offsets.

Global warming is forcing animals to higher elevations, causing them to intrude on established populations, a U.S. scientific journal says.

You really need to read the whole article, only about 10 paragraphs, and see the silliness. They are blaming it all on anthropogenic global warming, when, in reality, it has more to do with clearcutting, encroachment of civilization, and a natural change in the climate. But, hey, we all know that AGW causes everything, including foot in mouth disease.

And, for one of the “yup, we have totally lost our minds” articles

Climate change will force refugees to move to Antarctica by 2030, researchers have predicted.

Among future scenarios are the Olympics being held in cyberspace and central Australia being abandoned, according to the think tank report. (snip)

Refugees are expected to move to Antarctica because of the rising temperatures that will see the population of the continent increase to 3.5 million people by 2040.

Um, yeah. This all came from a wacky conference called Forum For The Future. Quick, go look at your local weather. Keep up with it for 10 days. See if it is accurate.

The annual average temperature in Antarctica, part of what is known as “climate,” is -56 F (-49 C). So, if the world temperature (part of what makes climate) goes up a few degrees……crap, it’s still freaking cold!
