Now Media Matters Is Upset By Fauxtography?

Sheesh. Where were they during all the other cases, particularly the ones meant to make the USA and Israel look bad?

Summary: During a segment in which Fox & Friends co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade labeled New York Times reporter Jacques Steinberg and editor Steven Reddicliffe “attack dogs,” Fox News featured photos of Steinberg and Reddicliffe that appeared to have been digitally altered — the journalists’ teeth had been yellowed, their facial features exaggerated, and portions of Reddicliffe’s hair moved further back on his head.

Cause Fox News, excuse me, Faux Newz, is the real enemy to free people of the world.

More: Where was Crooks and Liars in previous fauxtography? Oh, they have their own.

BTW, I notice that C&L, Needlenose, and woops! Media Matters all have the port side site Sadly, No! on their blogrolls. Hmm, if memory serves, Sadly, No! tends to put up lots of photoshopped pictures of conservatives consistently, especially in regards to Confederate Yankee.

Gothamist points out that progressive favorite Keith Olbermann uses photoshopped images himself. Keith vids happen to be a favorite of C&L, and shows up now and then at Media Matters.

Aren’t these the same people who found it amusing that the USA Today altered Condy Rice to look more menacing?

  6. Good point, MBP. They are also the same people who are highly amused by the cartoons by Ted Rall and Pat Oliphant that portray Condi as a house, well, you know.
