Ahmadinejad Slams Israel At Food Meeting

Like Obama, Ahmadinejad is starting to sound like a one tune pony

Among the more provocative speakers was Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, who blamed the Western nations for creating the food crisis by devaluing the dollar and forcing up oil prices, and described Israel as a criminal state.

Of course, that is as far as the NY Times will go, but, in their defense, the story was about a world food shortage.

LA Times? They talk about some of Ahmadinejad’s comments, but nothing about Sneezy.

Israeli President Shimon Peres slammed Ahmadinejad being invited to the conference, saying the Iranian leader was providing “bombs, not food” to the world. Right before the conference, Ahmadinejad had this to say

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad predicted yesterday that Israel will soon be “erased” and that the “satanic power of the United States” will be “annihilated,” according to reports from Tehran.

Reuters says the radical Iranian leader spoke at a ceremony marking the 19th anniversary of Ayatollah Khomeini’s death.

“You should know that the criminal and terrorist Zionist regime which has 60 years of plundering, aggression and crimes in its file has reached the end of its work and will soon disappear off the geographical scene,” he said, according Reuters.

Gotta love those peaceful Iranians! And this is the guy that Obama wants to meet with without any conditions.

  1. John Ryan says:

Israel’s biggest problem is simple demographics, secular Jews are leaving not wishing to live there any longer. Our own CIA has said that by as early as 2040 Israeli Arab citizens may be in the majority.

  2. That is very interesting, but, what does that have to do with Ahmadinejad?
