    No, since ID states that some things are too complex to have evolved through natural selection (though every example they have given has been shown as something that could have evolved). God creating life through evolution is better known as theistic evolution.

    John, most people of faith understand the Bible is meant to provide spiritual guidance not scientific facts. How could it without hopelessly confusing its many audiences throughout the years? While I believe science is the best way to understand the natural world, this takes nothing away from the moral and spiritual lessons in the Bible.

    key there is “could have… then again, you can always change it to “could not have”. There is, and I may be wrong as I am not a world book encyclopedia, no record, fossil or otherwise of any creature evolving into a different species. I would argue that species “adapt” more over time to their environment through small changes in traits rather than becoming a completely new species. This is my major problem with Evolutionary theory.

    Well, it depends on how you define species but here is a good explanation of how whales evolved:

    If you add up all the minor changes of a species adapting to its ever changing environment over millions of years, why can’t you end up with a population of organisms that look very different from (and are unable to reproduce with) their ancestral population?

    We know that billions of years ago only small/single-celled organisms existed. We
    can observe small changes occurring all the time. If two populations become geographically isolated from each other, what prevents those small changes from accumulating over almost unimaginable (in human terms) periods of time?

    If we reflect on the mutual affinities of organic beings, on their embryological relations, their geographical distribution, geological succession, and other such facts, we see that species were not independently created, but have descended over time from other species.
