Way Back Machine: U.S.S. North Carolina And Mother’s Day

Two quick hits. First, a little over a year ago I mentioned that the newest attack sub, the U.S.S. North Carolina was christened. It was commissioned on Saturday morning. WRAL has the story and video.

As for Mother’s Day, back on 5/14/2007, Rep. Jeff Forntenberry introduced a bill supporting the goals and ideals of Mother’s Day. You would think that would be a slam dunk. Nope. Almost a year later, it still languishes in committee.
