Cold Cash Controverts In Court

I wonder when the Democrats will ask William Jefferson (D-La) to resign from the House?

A Louisiana congressman accused of taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes told a judge Thursday that FBI agents who interviewed him back in 2005 were so overbearing that they even followed him into the bathroom of his own home.

Testifying under oath for the first time in his bribery case, Rep. William Jefferson, a Democrat, contradicted the testimony of FBI agents who said the August 2005 interview was cordial and friendly.

Of course he does. Perhaps he would like to explain how that $90,000 in bribe money got in to his freezer.

I’m not guilty, the film of me accepting the bribes and the ‘cold cash’ in my freezer was part of a campaign ad against crime. Democrats will believe that.

    When he is convicted.
They have stripped him of his committee asignments, they did that almost immediately.
Unlikewhat the Republicans did with Delay, Duke Cuningham, and others.
Remember Abramhoff was a Republican lobbyist, bribes go to the MAJORITY party. The Democrats have been in for only a year.
There is corruption on both sides of the aisle, but after a decade in power the stench from the Republican side was overwhelming and helped to turn them out in 2006.

“The vast white man conspiracy?” Gee wiz bang, and I thought $100 marked bills were microwaveable? Jefferson will be Cunningham’s cell mate, or OJ’s?
