Media Bias? What Media Bias Part “What, Again?”

Headline: Ex-Cheney aid gets 10 years in prison in spy case

NEWARK, New Jersey (Reuters) – A former White House official who took top secret documents from U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney’s office and gave them to opposition figures in the Philippines was sentenced on Wednesday to 10 years in prison.

Philippine-born Leandro Aragoncillo, a U.S. citizen and former Marine, pleaded guilty last year to taking the documents that included details on threats against U.S. government interests and military personnel in the Philippines.

Wow. That really looks bad, doesn’t it?

Aragoncillo worked on the security detail assigned to the vice president from 1999 to 2002, where he held a top security clearance. He later took a job as an intelligence analyst with the FBI in New Jersey.

That is what al-Reuters considers an "aide" and "White House official?" He worked security, and for, at most, 2 years. Remember, Cheney did not take office till 2001, so, he inherited Aragoncillo from the Goracle. No other stories out there say exactly when he split, so, even assuming he worked all the way through 2002, that would be two years.

Just another case of the liberal media having some CDS (Cheney Derangement Syndrome). If only they were so concerned with Sandy Burgler, who got a wopping $50K fine, lost his security clearence, 2 years probation, and 100 hours of community service, all for stealing classified documents, then destroying them.

Apparently the Bush appointed US Attorney did agreed with both Berger’s plead del and with Aragoncillio’s. Of course it is possible that you know better than the US Attorney who accepted Berger’s plea deal.Berger was also only convicted of a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material.
