Apes Can Plan Ahead: Surrender Monkeys Seethe

It’s another day of depressing news in Liberal World, as they found out that most other primates are capable of planning ahead:

They don’t bring along an umbrella or sunglasses that might be needed later, but researchers say apes, like people, can plan ahead

Both orangutans and bonobos were able to figure out which tool would work in an effort to retrieve grapes, and were able to remember to bring that tool along hours later, researchers report in Friday’s issue of the journal Science.

Poor liberals. Beat down yet again. One day, perhaps after thousands of years of evolution, they will gain the ability to plan ahead, rather then simply rewriting Conservative plans.

Even birds are ahead of the Surrender Monkeys

In a separate paper in ScienceExpress, the electronic version of Science, researchers report that scrub jays look over their shoulders when hiding food for future use and, if they think another bird saw where they put it, will relocate their cache.

In all fairness, birds have had millions of years more of evolution then Surrender Monkeys, though, considering the apparent size difference in cranial size, the SMs should be well ahead of birds.

  1. Scrapiron says:

The size of the cranium does not indicate the size of the filling. If it’s all mush it isn’t good for anything, just fills an empty space.

You’ve got a point. I’d like to do a foray in the Liberal jungles, catch a few, and disect their heads to actually determine what is in there 😉
