Let me start with this:

Wouldn’t that be the job of the United States Congress, Harry? I refuse to call him Senator Reid, since he obviously is unable to fulfill the roll of an elected representative to the Congress of the United States of America.
"By launching bitter, partisan attacks that ignore problems in his own backyard, Sen. Reid is emblematic of a minority party that is long on anger and short on substance," said spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt.

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tennessee, separately wrote Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, asking him to join in establishing a bipartisan Senate lobbying reform task force to explore the various proposals.
Reid, who has linked the lobbying scandal to GOP control of Congress, declined. "We don’t need a task force to study what’s wrong. We know what’s wrong," he said at a news conference.
Here we have another example of a GOP leader reaching across the aisle to a Democrat to get a bipartisan fix to an issue that has plagued both parties at one time or another. Rather then working together, Dingy Harry prefers to do……nothing. Meanwhile, the approval ratings of the Congress continue to fall, and that includes Democrats.
In the next breath, Harry will probably complain that the GOP isn’t working with the Dems. Like when he whines about Alito.
If they did something about it, then they would have to go back and fix Kennedy, Kerry, Clinton and the other idiots in Washington with dirty — very dirty — pasts.
I would lay a bet that pretty much 99% of COngress takes money to push legislation. It is the way Washington works, and any Congress Critter who says otherwise is a big liar.
It’s typical Democrat hypocrisy, and it goes unnoticed by the media. They’re too busy focusing on the whiny victim-status of the minority party and complaining as to why they can’t control things.
I hope every dirty politician with their hands in the cookie jar gets caught.
