Anyone Want To Discuss Surrender Monkeys Now?

Come on, take the shot. Go ahead. Many Democrats have taken exeption at my use of the phrase "Surrender Monkeys." That’s rather interesting, considering what Howard Dean, you remember him, he is the head of the Democratic National Committee, said

Democratic Chairman Howard Dean on Monday likened the war in Iraq to Vietnam and said, "The idea that the United States is going to win the war in Iraq is just plain wrong," comments that drew immediate fire from Republicans.

"I wish the president had paid more attention to the history of Iraq Vietnam before we had gotten in there," Dean said. "The idea that we’re going to win this war is just plain wrong."

OK, I put the Vietnam in there, but it is obvious that so many of the vocal leaders of the Demoratic Party really, really, want Iraq to be Vietnam II, with the USA and its military slinking off with their tail between their legs. It’s questionable whether they want the massive slaughter that occured in South Vietnam and Cambodia, like happened when the Democratic Congress forced the premature pullout of our forces, but, that is what could happen.

The Dems position? Anything bad for the USA is good for the Party. Have you ever heard a Democratic say anything nice about the good things that happen to America? Nope. Low unemployment figures? They are bad, low paying jobs. Home ownership up? That bubble will burst. We are capturing and killing terrorists around the world. Bush caused 9/11. Our soldiers believe in what they are doing in Iraq? Dems say they are deluded, and that they are the real terrorists.

"In predicting that America will lose the war in Iraq, Howard Dean is the latest national Democrat leader to embrace retreat and defeat in the central front in the War on Terror. His outrageous prediction sends the wrong message to our troops, the enemy, and the Iraqi people just 10 days before historic elections. Democrats across the nation should stand up and reject the pessimism of their chairman and strategy of defeat by their Congressional leaders." Ken Mehlman

Howard Dean is your supposed leader. Do you stand behind his words, Democrats? Speaking out against the war is your Right. However, do you realize, or care, that your words harm the USA and our troops? From what I have seen and heard, quite a few of you don’t.

When Bush finally does pull the forces out, we will simply call him a Surrender Monkey. Not sure why you want to back yourself into a corner, but if it makes you happy…be my guest!

The problem with the few successes the Bush Administration can claim is that they are built on ricepaper, and can be wiped away by another disaster.

Retreat, by the way, is not the same thing as surrender. But if you are a yes-monkey for Bush and think that staying the course is the only solution…watch as his popularity sinks to nothing.

    Hi there!

  2. I have thought long and hard on how to respond to you, Dave, rather then an off the cuff response. What I have come up with is that there are good people, like you, JulieB, other bloggers, friends of mine, etc, who are good people, who do not toe the current dem party line, who have core beliefs, which, while I may not agree with them all, are good, caring beliefs.

However, these same good dems are providing support to a Party gone wild. One in which the crazies, such as Howard Dean, Michael Moore, George Soros, etc, lead the pack. A Party which is engaging in hysterical rhetoric. One in which the Party leaders say we WILL lose, and that our troops are terrorists. One which has no ideas or plans, just degenerate hatred and conspiracy theories.

I have voted Dem in the past. I voted for Clinton in 96 and gore in 2000. There is absolutely nothing coming from the Dem party which would even make me wonder briefly if I should vote for one at this point.

It is a shame that the party of FDR, JFK, and Truman has come to being represented by a do nothing troop hater like Kerry and has a guy in charge of the DNC who won 1 primary then imploded, and goes on about hatred while making a speech on tolerance.
