Prozac, anyone?

Others have blogged about this happening in other parts of the country, now we have "support groups" and therapy for the "anybody but Bushers," now we have it in the Triangle.

In fact, group therapy may be on the way.

Irene Kennedy, a Raleigh clinical social worker, is trying to assemble a support group for pained voters who cannot seem to move beyond the loss of their candidate, John Kerry.

"If you’re starting fights with people in the supermarket, you have to stop and think, ‘What’s going on?’ " Kennedy said. It’s Election Day plus 10. If your side lost and you are still feeling angry, sad or bewildered, take heart: You have lots of company.

It’s that the loons got themselves entirely too wrapped up in hating Bush. It went beyond the normal election time hatred, and became entirely to personal. The Left was too wrapped up in talking about smirks, and chimps, and calling Bush and the Bush supporters names, like Nazi’s, Facists, and Bushlerites. Policy and agenda’s were virtually ignored by the Left. They ignored every single negative about Kerry. Most moonbats knew more about Bush’s "smirks" then they did about what Kerry did in the Senate. Even at Kerry’s own forum, which I have been IP banned from 3 times, very few would debate me on facts about Kerry. Very few knew them.

Even the N&O knew what this election was about:

Radios are tuned to music, not talk. Newspapers with front-page pictures of the victor get flipped over quickly to hide what those in the anybody-but-Bush crowd refer to as "that smug mug."

The Left set themselves up for this disappoint me by, again, being to emotionally involved in personally hating Bush. Most GOPers I know or read do not seem to personally hate John Kerry. Most of us do not know John Kerry the man. We dislike, hate, and/or loathe Kerry’s actions, his rhetoric, his political stances, etc. Myself, I believe that Kerry, the man, is probably a pompous ass. But I had to separate the personal John Kerry from the political, public, John Kerry. Hey, if we met him on a beach, we might like him personally. Maybe not. We like George Bush. He comes across to us GOP EXTREMISTS as a nice guy. But, that is typically separated from the fact that we believe that he is, at the least, a decent President.

It also helps that he has a really nice wife in Laura. It is hard for me to imagine a jerkoff having a woman like that as a wife. Her likeability is too natural, even for a politicians wife. But, I still considered George Bush the politician over George Bush the man when making my choice for President. Bob Dole was a hell of a nice guy. Clinton was rather sleazy. But, I thought Clinton would be a slightly better choice for that election then Dole. Nixon wasn’t exactly the greatest guy personnally, from everything I read. But, I would have voted for him. He got shat done.
