Easley in 2008?

From News14:

Gov. Mike Easley continues to get special mentions in the national media — along with a half-dozen or more others — as a possible Democratic contender for the presidency in 2008.

For now, Easley is shrugging off a spotlight he has never fully embraced and, through a spokeswoman, joked about the attention.

"It is hard to take it seriously until we find out whether or not Andy Griffith reruns are being watched in Iowa and New Hampshire," the governor said.

Easley? 2008? Well, in one aspect, he cannot be worse then the others the Left is already proposing. Hillary. Dean. Even Kerry redux. The one thing I can say is that Easley did not go barking moonbat during the elections. Not even rumors of any moonbat behavior. Whether that would start during a presidential campaign remains to be seen. Also, Easley has ideas. Many of us do not like them. Heck, many of us loathe many of Easley’s ideas. But he is a damn sight more electable then Kerry, and any other of the folks out there. But that is only if the Demorat party turns back into the Democrat party. I doubt that those that aren’t insane will rest back control of the Party. I expect that it will even be more moonbat in 2008.

  1. Ogre says:

This one is very dangerous. Easley is very good at lying in dramatic fashion, much like Clinton was. His entire recent campaign was based on the idea that he was more conservative than Ballantine, a total and complete lie.

He is a good liar, but Sir Hillary Clinton will certainly be the selection, if she decrees it so.

  2. I certainly hope so. I really doubt Easley will allow himself to be in the running. Will certainly be Cankles. Stranger things have happened, ie Kerry.
