Couple Debate thoughts

In retrospection, Gay and Lesbian Rights are covered, at least somewhat, in the Declaration of Independence. “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” It is not in the Constitution, nor is anything on marriage itself. Unless you want to consider the 10th Amendment:

The powers not delegated by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

The Kerry camp cannot be happy this morning with everyone discussing his mention of Mary Cheney being a lesbian. Seems to be getting the most airplay, and most mention in the blogosphere. Heard mention this am on FoxNews, CNN American Morning, Imus in the AM, The Bob and Tom Show, and 2 local talk radio stations, all between 7am and 9am. Also, John McCain doesn’t seem to thrilled with Kerry mentioning him, either, or so the rumor goes.

One bit is that Kerry has plans, W has policies. Which sounds more realistic? Consider their websites. Kerry has issues, Bush has an agenda. One sounds bitchy and unrealistic, the other sounds viable and doable.

The transcript shows Kerry saying “plan” only 19 times this debate. “I have a plan” only 2 times. Much better then last time. He still got waxed, no matter what the on line DUed quick votes say. The next national and State polls will bear this out.
