WTW: Dem Critters Pushing Surrender Again

Morning, y’all, Jebediah Murphy here, with some of that thar there truth stuff. Truthiness is not spoken round where I come from, ‘cept when we are making excuses for why we were out all night and smell like a brewery.

Them surrendacrat folks are at it again

(CNSNews.com) – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) says Democrats are once again putting politics ahead of American troops fighting in Iraq.

He spoke after House Democrats announced they will vote later this week on a bill to “change course in Iraq.”

The legislation, sponsored by Armed Services Committee Chairman Ike Skelton (D-Mo.), “would begin the responsible redeployment” of U.S. troops within 120 days and complete redeployment by April 1, 2008, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said.

“Democrats seem intent on a precipitous withdrawal no matter what the consequences for the safety and security of the American people, the Iraqis, the Middle East, and our coalition partners,” Boehner said in a statement.

That’s because, John, Defeatocrats are completely invested in America losing in Iraq. They have spent years railing against a war they voted for, and, rather then providing support for the venture, and their country, they have gven all those “militants” a reason to fight on. The Democrats didn’t give a rats ass about what would happen in Southeast Asia after they forced a retreat from a war they started. They cannot even admit they want to surrender and run away, instead using stupid phrases like “change course,” “phased or responsible redeployment,” and “a new direction.”

Playing politics with national security, something they fail to understand and haven’t had any concept of since the days of the Johnson admin, is their default position. Remember, they have railed against everything that President Bush has implemented, as well as not implemented, such as train security, yet have offered no ideas or plans themselves.

“The fact is Democrats have offered no plan for success in Iraq, indeed no plan at all other than to leave the country to radical jihadists like al Qaeda. The American people deserve better, and so do our troops,” Boehner said.

Nancy Pelosi disagrees, yet, offers up no other plan then surrender. Go figure.

Tell ya what: come September, when the surge has had a chance to work, if things are not improving, I will consider that we need to start leaving.

Them Senate critters are going to try the surrender route, as well. You know, with them timetable thingys, which will alert the “militants” how long they need to hang on for.

Vietnam ?? Back in the day, and I am old enough tio remember, and not from movies, both parties had left wings and right wings. Certainly there were Democrats, especially those known as the yellow dogs, who were much more right wing than some Republicans such as Lindsey and Rockerfeller. It was the right wing of both parties that promoted war in Vietnam. Often using the same inflamatory rhetoric that we are hearing once again in Iraq. “Fight them there so we will not have to fight them here” “They are bent on world domination”In 1968 after Nixons victory was when the “cut and run” from Vietnam began. Our army was in revolt with at least 800 incidences of fragging. It wasn’t until 1971 that congress was able to pass legislation that had had force in ending the war, again like Iraq, long after public opinion had demanded it.
Sound byte rhetoric and name calling Defeatocrats, Surrender monkeys, traitors, etc can not obscure the fact that an overwhelming percentage of Americans want this to end

Democrats make up only 1/3 of the voters, 1/3 are independents and 1/3 Republicans Bush’s policies have force most of the Independents over to the Democrats and about 25% of the Republicans.
One of the similarities I see with Vietnam, and others can also be made, is that we have yet to be able to find or create an Iraqi government that has meaningful support from the people of Iraq. Let’s remember that the main bloc in support of Maliki is that of the Sadarists. And now we are arming the Sunnis, who have killed more Americans than al Queda.
4 years of occupation and we still have no real partner in the Iraqi government. If Bush or any of the other war promoters REALLY believed that this was a battle for the survival of our civilization than they should have sent 500,000 troops or a million or whatever it took.
