Climate Pope Tells Warmists They Must Do More

Pope Francis keeps moving the Catholic Church into being a subsidiary of the Cult of Climastrology

Earth Day: Pope Francis urges responsibility for our common home

As the world marked Earth Day on Monday, April 22, Pope Francis reiterated his urgent plea for bold action for our common home and for world peace.

The international Day was established in 1970 to raise awareness about the critical environmental challenges facing our planet, and to mobilize efforts to address them.

The observance provides an opportunity for individuals, communities, organizations, and governments to come together and engage in activities to repair and heal ecosystems, combat climate change, and preserve biodiversity so as to preserve the planet for future generations.

In a post on his X social media platform (formerly known as Twitter), Pope Francis noted that his generation has bequeathed many monetary riches to later generations, but has done little to protect the planet.

He also commented on the link between current environmental problems and the many conflicts raging throughout the world.

“Our generation has bequeathed many riches, but we have failed to protect the planet and we are not safeguarding peace. We are called to become artisans and caretakers of our common home, the Earth which is “falling into ruin.” #EarthDay

What is the Vatican doing? They get about 5 million visitors a year. How many of them take long fossil fueled trips?

Earth Day 2024: It’s time for the Catholic Church to give up fossil fuels for good

In the apostolic exhortation “Laudate Deum: On the Climate Crisis,” published last Oct. 4, Pope Francis stated simply that “responses have not been adequate” in the eight years since he published the encyclical “Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home.” This assessment applies to society as a whole, but it also includes the Catholic Church. As we approach Earth Day, on April 22, I plead for all U.S. Catholics to repent from our collective ecclesial sins of omission and commit to greater shared mission fidelity on climate action.

It’s now a “sin.” The weird part is that the author, Daniel DiLeo, fails to mention if he’s given up his own use of fossil fuels.

This Earth Day, I plead for these faithful, “adequate responses” to the climate crisis so that we may “avoid the sin of indifference, that [we] may love the common good, advance the weak, and care for this world in which we live” (“Laudato Si’,” No. 246).

Yup. Cult

Zelensky Says US Aid Totally About Protecting All Of Europe From Russia Or Something

Right, right, sure thing

Zelensky says the US is ‘not funding’ war in Ukraine

Sherman Potter Bull CookiesUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated Sunday that the United States is “not funding” war in his country, emphasizing that the U.S. is helping protect democracy throughout the region.

NBC host Kristen Welker asked Zelensky on “Meet the Press” how long Americans can expect to fund the war in Ukraine, noting that there has been some strong opposition to sending additional aid to the country. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is doing the fighting and the U.S. is only providing the munitions.

“The Americans are not funding the war in Ukraine. They foremost protect freedom and democracy all over Europe. And Ukraine is fighting. And Ukraine is sending their best sons and daughters to the front line. And this reduces the price for all Europe, for all NATO,” Zelensky said, speaking through a translator.

“It reduces the price for everyone, including the U.S. as the leaders in NATO. U.S. Army now does not have to fight protecting NATO countries. Ukrainians are doing that. And it’s only the ammo that the civilized world is providing. And I think it’s a good decision. That is why we do need to keep supporting,” he continued.

Other than rabid wackos who have failed to perform critical thinking, does anyone think Russia is going to march into Europe after taking Ukraine? Or cross the sea to take on America? Right now, they can barely beat the Ukraine army. Beat them, though, they will, unless Ukraine decides to go guerrilla war and make it so painful to Russia that they give up.

But, this type of yammering is meant to buck up the rabid supporters in the U.S. and Europe to keep the money train going, which provides funding for politicians and lots of graft. The U.S. doesn’t really know where all the money and aid is going.

(Reuters) But Kyiv still faces manpower shortages on the battlefield, while questions linger over the strength of its fortifications along a sprawling, 1,000-km front line ahead of what President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said could be a Russian summer offensive.

“The most important source of Ukrainian weakness is the lack of manpower,” said Konrad Muzyka, director of the Rochan military consultancy in Poland.

They have some new type of quicker draft and training, but, they still do not have the manpower. The aid will give them lots of shells to fire at the Russians, but, that won’t stop them. What are they doing with all the tanks and fighter planes and stuff allocated by the US and EU nations? Regardless, Russia won’t be crossing into Poland or any other EU nation once they take Ukraine. Zelensky is setting up for a demand for more aid and money.

NY Enviro-Weenies Now Coming After Individually Wrapped Cheese Slices

I personally cannot stand them, especially what goes for American cheese (in honesty, the real stuff is way, way worse, unless it is melted). But, many do like them, and these people need to stop being such authoritarian nags

NY environmentalists’ next target? Individually wrapped cheese slices face ban under far-reaching bill

It may be a case of lactose intolerance.

Individually wrapped cheese would be largely banned under a far-reaching bill getting pushed by New York environmentalists and politicians to reduce the use of plastics, The Post has learned.

The state bill — called Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act — would require companies with net incomes over $1 million who sell or distribute food or products to reduce plastics and other packaging that ends in landfills or waterways by 50% over the next 12 years.

It would also impose a fee on companies that use plastic packages, with money going toward recycling programs and infrastructure.

“This legislation shifts the onus of recycling from municipalities and ensures that producers of products are serving our interests by establishing solutions to sustainable packaging,” Sen. Peter Harckham (D-Peekskill) said in a memo promoting the bill.

Good grief. Look, I’ll agree that all this extra plastic packaging is not good for the environment. The real environment, not that cultish climate doom stuff. But, would it not be better to provide positive incentives to get manufacturers to stop using all that plastic instead of going right to Big Government smackdowns?

The typical New Yorker creates nearly 5 pounds of trash every day, which means the state produces approximately 15 million tons of waste each year, according to Harckham, who introduced the measure along with Assemblywoman Deborah Glick (D-Manhattan).

Hmm, so, these hardcore Dems who are all supposed to be into Saving The Planet are terrible for the planet? In fairness, this type of government smackdown has already occurred in Maine, Oregon, Colorado and California. Which of course, really only leaves more expensive options for the peasants, some of whom cannot afford that extra cash.

“There was a time in America when we didn’t put a piece of plastic between every slice of cheese. They can substitute plastic with paper,” she said.

A goodly chunk of the cheeses I buy come like that (I mostly like to buy baby Swiss). It’s to keep certain types from sticking together. Fully wrapping the American and other “cheeses” makes them last longer, especially since they tend to come in bigger packs. Would this cheap cheese survive if they used paper dividers?

Wild: Rabbi Tells Jewish Students At Columbia U To Go Home, It’s Not Safe

Isn’t it rather the job of Columbia U to safeguard the students from threats as much as possible, especially when the threats are public?

Rabbi to Jewish Columbia students amid rallies: Campus not safe, go home

A rabbi at Columbia University on Sunday morning called on Jewish students to go home until the campus was safe after days of anti-Israel protests in which protesters called for further October 7 Massacres, claimed membership with Hamas, and expressed support for terrorism.

Orthodox Union Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus director rabbi Elie Buechler told students that the protests that had unfolded since Wednesday “have made it clear that Columbia University’s Public Safety and the NYPD cannot guarantee Jewish students’ safety in the face of extreme antisemitism and anarchy.”

“It deeply pains me to say that I would strongly recommend you return home as soon as possible and remain home until the reality in and around campus has dramatically improved,” Buechler told Jewish students in leaked text messages. “It is not our job as Jews to ensure our own safety on campus. No one should have to endure this level of hatred, let alone at school.”

This is beyond disturbing. This is the United States Of America, and Jewish students are being advised to go home to be safe. It sounds more like Europe in the 1930’s with the rise of Hitler, where many Jews decided to head to England, Canada, and America. And I’m not sure they can depend on NYC or the mayor

New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday condemned extremist slogans chanted during ongoing protests at Columbia University and pledged that “the [New York Police Department] will not hesitate to arrest anyone who is found to be breaking the law.”

“I am horrified and disgusted with the antisemitism being spewed at and around the Columbia University campus,” the Mayor said, citing “the example of a young woman holding a sign with an arrow pointing to Jewish students stating ‘Al-Qasam’s Next Targets,’ or another where a woman is literally yelling ‘We are Hamas,’ or another where groups of students are chanting ‘We don’t want no Zionists here'”.

“I condemn this hate speech in the strongest of terms,” Adams said. “Supporting a terrorist organization that aims is to kill Jews is sickening and despicable.”

But, he notes that Columbia is a private institution on private property, so, the NYPD cannot just come in to safeguard unless the university asks for security. Can students call the NYPD when they’ve been threatened or assaulted? Should be able to.

And what is Columbia really doing? They cleared out one tent city protest, and, another is going up. Some students were suspended a couple weeks ago, and around 100 the other day after they were arrested. But, are any being expelled? Will the charges stick for those arrested, or, will the school refuse to press charges? That is, if the Leftists in the NYC prosecutors office do not refuse to hold the students to charges in the first place.

Are Jews finally realizing that the Democratic Party is not their friend? That it is chock full of people who hate Israel, hate Jews, and support Islamic extremists and Islamic terrorist groups?

LOL: Just Stop Oil Wackos Removed From Earth Fest

Gotta love this, it’s Greenunist vs Greenunist

Plastic buckets. Plastic megaphone. Clothes, shoes, backpacks made with petroleum. Smartphones made with petroleum. And all of them shipped by petroleum. And these wackos are promising more disruptions

(UK Mirror) Just Stop Oil activists are plotting to cause summer misery for thousands of holidaymakers. The environmental group plans to wreak havoc at airports here and across Europe from mid-June.

Protesters will halt flights by storming terminal buildings, glueing themselves to runways and clambering onto jets in tourist hotspots like Spain, Greece and Turkey. It means travellers will likely face agonising delays here – while those lucky enough to take off could be forced to wait hours on the runway on the other side.

Last night, MPs and travel experts accused the group of “shooting itself in the foot” by causing misery and risking lives. Our undercover reporter learned of the plot at a meeting attended by some 50 hardcore activists. Just Stop Oil’s so-called poster girl, Phoebe Plummer, was greeted by roars as she announced “disruption on a scale that has never been seen before”.

They do not care. They do not care if it backfires. They are the cutliest of cult members. I think all the climate cultists should do this stuff, which would drive normal people away from this insanity.

25 States File Legal Challenge To Biden’s EV Mandate

OK, fine, it’s not actually a mandate, but, it operates in the same manner, forcing free US citizens into EVs they do not want

Half of US states revolt against EPA crackdown on gas cars with major legal challenge

Electric vehicleA coalition of 25 state attorneys general filed a legal challenge Thursday against the Biden administration over recent environmental regulations targeting gas-powered car emissions and pushing electric vehicles (EVs).

Led by Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman and West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, the coalition filed a challenge against the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, asking the court to declare the new rules unlawful. According to the filing, the EPA regulations impose “unworkable emissions standards” on passenger cars and medium-duty vehicles.

“Conservative attorneys general are slamming the brakes on President Biden’s radical green agenda that is using the weight of the federal government to force expensive EVs on families, workers and farmers,” Coleman said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“Even if Americans wanted to buy an electric car, we can’t afford them amid historic inflation,” he continued. “We’re taking President Biden’s EPA to court to block this latest big-government mandate and protect the free market.”

If you want one, get one. The federal government has no business telling the citizens what they can and cannot drive. Where is the statutory authority in the Constitution? Even if Congress passed a law, under what Constitutional principle? If a state wants to do this, go for it. If their own constitution allows it. The AGs should be asking if all the EPA folks forcing this down our throats are driving one. And, since this really originates from the White House, why Biden isn’t driving one.
