Washington Post Decides To Write What Trump Should Have Said About Charlottesville

The Washington Post Editorial Board is in its normal snit fit mode, having decided to make the Charlottesville riot all about President Trump. Because #Resist. They’ve decided that what Trump said wasn’t presidential, so, they decided to create their own version of what a presidential president would say about the incident, because what Trump said just doesn’t fit in. I guess they’d prefer that he came off the golf course to make a speech, then head back for a few more holes. Which, BTW, I cannot find any condemnation of what Obama did regarding James Foley from the WPEB in the immediate few days.

What a presidential president would have said about Charlottesville

HERE IS what President Trump said Saturday about the violence in Charlottesville sparked by a demonstration of white nationalists, neo-Nazis and Ku Klux Klan members:

We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides. On many sides.

Here is what a presidential president would have said:

“The violence Friday and Saturday in Charlottesville, Va., is a tragedy and an unacceptable, impermissible assault on American values. It is an assault, specifically, on the ideals we cherish most in a pluralistic democracy — tolerance, peaceable coexistence and diversity.

Of course, it’s easy for the WPEB, who wrote this hours and hours after the event, rather than as it was happening. Of course, no matter what Trump said, La Resistance would find fault. Had Trump said the exact words the WPEB manufactured, they would have found fault.

What is vital now is a swift restoration of law and order and the protection of innocent lives. No citizen should ever fear for their safety and security in our society. And no child should ever be afraid to go outside and play or be with their parents and have a good time.

And we are here to provide whatever other assistance is needed. We are ready, willing and able. Above all else, we must remember this truth: No matter our color, creed, religion or political party, we are all Americans first. We love our country. We love our god.

We love our flag. We’re proud of our country. We’re proud of who we are, so we want to get the situation straightened out in Charlottesville, and we want to study it. And we want to see what we’re doing wrong as a country where things like this can happen. My administration is restoring the sacred bonds of loyalty between this nation and its citizens, but our citizens must also restore the bonds of trust and loyalty between one another. We must love each other, respect each other and cherish our history and our future together. So important. We have to respect each other. Ideally, we have to love each other.

Man, Trump just can’t get a …… oh, wait, that’s from his actual comments, made in the moment. In fact, the media, like the WPEB, are running with just tiny excerpts from Trump’s speech, which can put them out of context.

https://twitter.com/WilliamTeach/status/896360611562622976

They actually would. Now, here’s something interesting from the made up WPEB “speech”

“To wink at racism or to condone it through silence, or false moral equivalence, or elision, as some do, is no better and no more acceptable than racism itself. Just as we can justly identify radical Islamic terrorism when we see it, and call it out, so can we all see the racists in Charlottesville, and understand that they are anathema in our society, which depends so centrally on mutual respect.

Um, what? Folks like the WPEB tell us that they aren’t Islamic. They have conniption fits when people condemn Islamic terrorism as being Islamophobes. They do all they can to avoid mentioning that the terrorists are Muslims. They have meltdowns over wanting to slow the flow of Muslims coming from hotbeds of Islamic extremism to make sure they aren’t Islamic extremists. Has anyone seen any big stories or opinion pieces emanating from the WP about female genital mutilation in the United States, which occurs in Muslim communities? No? How about the honor killings?

And the WP has barely ever touched on denouncing the racist Black Lives Matter movement, nor the violence that has occurred in their marches, nor their racist and violent rhetoric. Nor do they condemn the violence and horrific rhetoric from the #Resist folks. They want it both ways.

Moving on

“We may all have pressing and legitimate questions about how the violence in Charlottesville unfolded — and whether it could have been prevented. There will be time in coming days to delve further into those matters, and demand answers. In the meantime, I stand ready to provide any and all resources from the federal government to ensure there will be no recurrence of such violence in Virginia or elsewhere. Let us keep the victims of this terrible tragedy in our thoughts and prayers, and keep faith that the values enshrined in our Constitution and laws will prevail against those who would desecrate our democracy.”

Um, Trump did rather say something similar. Of course, if you think about it, the folks who actually look to desecrate our democracy (yes, yes, it’s a Republic) and violate our Constitution are a large chunk of those who vote Democrat. We could surely go into all the why’s and how’s and what’s, however, most are aware, and there are too many instances to delve into.

Regardless, the left is freaking out, and would no matter what. The NY Times says Trump’s comments were insufficient

If Trump said that flu shots are wonder and beautiful and everyone should get one, Democrats, led by the Washington Post and NY Times, would denounce getting flu shots.

A white supremacist terrorist plows into a crowd, killing a young woman, and The TEACH defends fake president tRump as the victm??? WTF???

Simple. Our fake president couldn’t bring himself to criticize what is obviously part of his political base – Nazis, White Nationalists, White Supremacists and the KKK.

Simple. Real America will not tolerate the rise of white supremacy and Nazism.

Nazis, White Nationalists, White Supremacists and the KKK do not represent the ideals of America any more than Islamist extremists do.

The rise of overt white nationalism under tRump has been alarming – in fact, his chief strategist, Steve Bannon, former editor of Breitbart news, is a white nationalist.

#HeatherHeyer. 32 yrs old. Died yesterday in #Charlottesville. Killed by a soulless man, a man of hate. God,pls hold her family’s hearts.

Simple – TEACH: Can you bring yourself to condemn White Supremacists?

Lets correct some things. This altercation was caused by the governor of Virginia in his idiot liberal efforts to remove Confederate memorials. All blood is on him. Then we have the altercation itself. Any video shows communist and blacks attacking a small group of whites. You have no idea the identity of the whites of their politics. Now, I saw David Duke and he was very happy because this is what he needed to push his cause. Then we have whites who feel that their rights are being violated by the government, there is no argument there, their rights are being violated. Obama caused most of this, Trump none. Trump had the right message, both sides areresponsible. The guy in the car did not intentionally harm anyone, watch the videos. If he gets a decent trial, witch in this country is not likely, he will not be in jail. Finally, Jeff, you are a nut job.

  2. Jeffery says:

Only White Supremacists, Nazis, the KKK, White Nationalists and now William Teach are the only ones defending president tRump’s tepid response to the domestic terrorism in Charlottesville.

  3. Jeffery says:

Who wrote the lame statement that the bored, flaccid tRumpski read to America? The only apparent ad lib, and the only time he showed any energy, was when he blamed “both sides”.

This limp statement was a dog whistle to his right-wing, alt-right, White Nationalist base. David Duke knew what tRump was saying.

  4. drowningpuppies says:

Thanks for all the selective faux outrage and leftist talking points, little jeffuckery.
Might carry a little weight if Ferguson, Baltimore, Berkeley, et.al, if you exuded the same vehemence back then but so far you come across as just another little mewling quim not to be taken seriously.

    • david7134 says:

Note he is ok with Muslism violence, but not others.

      • Jeffery says:

        dave,

We understand that as a White Supremacist yourself that you are feeling under attack. As well you should.

We were never OK with Muslim violence as you well know. We have repeatedly stated Islamist terrorists should be killed painfully.

You on the other hand stated that the young neo-Nazi James Fields was justified in murdering Heather Heyer.

Your a busy little Kleagle today – I thought Sunday was your klavern day. Must be a special day for you!

        • david7134 says:

Who is James Fields? What makes you think I am a supremacist? The fact that I have a different opinion from you? For that matter, are you going to condemn antifa, blm, naacp and black panthers? All of these are violent or promote racism. And yes, you support Muslim violence. At the end of the day, you are a lying fool.

  5. Jeffery says:

The TEACH invokes the name of Kate Steinle, inadvertently killed, yet cannot mention Heather Heyer, murdered yesterday in a deliberate terrorist attack by a right-wing extremist.

    White supremacists stick together.

  6. Jeffery says:

It’s clear that TEACH, the Cesspoolian castrati not only support the neo-Nazis and White Supremacists but may have even been in Charlottesville (who are we kidding, no Cesspoolian has the balls to do anything except type). Our cowardly fake president is too beholden to neo-Nazi and White Supremacist supporters to criticize their anti-American actions including the murder of an innocent woman.

Real America will rise up and defect you.

  7. Jl says:

From what I’ve seen, the march was a peaceful protest until attacked by far left goons. The car driving into the crowd was despicable, of course. But I find it interesting that J doesn’t seem to whine as much when Islamic terrorists ram cars into people in various places around the world. Suprising. As I saw elsewhere-Obama not the cause for all the violence and deaths at BLM riots, but Trump is supposedly the cause of this. No double standard there, right? 2020 looks better all the time.

  8. Jeffery says:

j defends the KKK, neo-Nazi’s and White Supremacist’s “peaceful” march, waving their swastikas and battle flags chanting despicable comments about Jews et al. There is no such thing as peaceful racism – can’t you get that through your thick skulls? Carrying torches through the campus chanting “Blood and Soil” (famous Nazi slogan) is not peaceful. Your devotion to white power is not as widespread as you like to believe and real America won’t stand for it.

We understand why you want to change the subject to extremist Muslims – but you lie even about that. No one but extremist Islamists support extremist Islamists. We all agree on how despicable they are. They oppress women. They murder gays. They murder those they consider apostates. Kill all the extremist Islamists, we say. Can you say the same about extremist neo-Nazis? They are what fundamentalist christianity used to be.

Trump could bring the dead back to life, and not only would the Leftists complain that he was adversely affecting the mortuary business, but that he also cutting into their voter base.

  11. Jeffery says:

Trump should try, at least once, to do something for the good of the nation to see if the media and the 65 percenters give him kudos.

Unfortunately, Trump has created so much bad blood over the past year with his insults to the courts, the free press, Mexicans, gays, immigrants, Blacks, military heroes that his support is now less than 35%. Trump appreciates only those that “love him” unconditionally.

Trump is cultivating, and his cult members agree, a victim mentality.
