US Could Join Syria And Nicaragua As Nonparticipants In Paris Climate Agreement Or Something

Gee, there’s no political bias from media in this at all

If Trump pulls out of climate deal, US could join Syria and Nicaragua as nonparticipants

If President Trump decides to pull out of the 2015 Paris accord on climate change, the United States could become one of only three nations in a U.N. climate group not to be signed onto the deal.

Trump announced in a tweet Saturday that he would make his “final decision” this week on whether or not to keep the U.S. in the landmark accord in which nations agreed to work toward curbing greenhouse gas emissions to address climate change.

“I will make my final decision on the Paris Accord next week!” the president wrote. (snip)

The December 2015 deal has as of this month been signed by all 197 countries in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change except two: Syria and Nicaragua. Of the 195 that have signed, 147 have ratified the accord.

Except, this is all a bunch of mule fritters, playing semantics. The United States did “sign on“, in the version of Obama giving his signature, on April 22, 2016 (Earth Day, of course). Neither Syria nor Nicaragua signed on to start with. Pulling out would not be the same thing.

If we want to play this game, Obama put himself in company of such luminaries such as Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela by signing on. And Russia, the Lefties current bugaboo nation.

Candidate Trump made a promise; President Trump should keep it.

trump campaigned and won an electoral college victory based on his America First pledge, including distancing the US from NATO, blocking international trade agreements, insulting our allies, succoring our enemies, and pulling out of the Paris Accord. It was what he was elected to do.

And Hillary (now known as the woods-wandering Chappaquatch) will never be President of the U.S.

I thought that the U.S. was not committed to a treaty until the Senate approved it with a 2/3 vote. How can we pull out of somethings we were not committed to in the first place?
