Charles Blow Has Utter Meltdown For Memorial Day

One has to wonder if it is psychologically safe for liberals to live in this heightened sense of perpetual outrage all day every day. To see things as not just bad, but apocalyptic. To be utterly and completely negative day after day after day, and to be doing this at an even higher level than during the George W. Bush years. Witness the New York Times’ Charles Blow, in full meltdown

Donald Trump: The Gateway Degenerate

Last week, when voters in Montana elected Greg Gianforte to fill the state’s lone seat in the House of Representatives, even after he was recorded in a physical altercation with a reporter, many Americans — like me — were left to look on in astonished bewilderment.

Realistically, most do not care except unhinged liberals. But, Blow goes on and on and on about this before getting to his real point

Outrageous. Assault is not a game. It’s not a joke. It’s criminal. Any moral person would know better than to treat it so cavalierly. A moral person wouldn’t make a joke; that person would take a stand.

Funny, liberals were rather cool with brushing off all the violence from liberals during the time of Obama, and especially in the past few years when Democrats were in the streets rioting, assaulting, destroying, committing arson, shooting police officers, throwing things at police officers.

But Republicans in the age of Trump have sadly moved away from morality as a viable concept.

Yes, Gianforte’s assault is a glaring display of toxic masculinity in an environment made particularly toxic by the man in the White House and his media bullying. But more telling and more ominous is the degree to which Republicans no longer seem to care, and their increasing ability to compartmentalize and justify.

This is all an outgrowth of Trump’s degradation of common decency. Trump was the gateway candidate. When Republicans allowed themselves to accept and support him in spite of his glaring flaws and his life lived in opposition to the values they once professed and insisted upon, they moved themselves into another moral realm in which literally nothing was beyond the pale.

Interesting. Democratic Party insiders conspired to blow out the candidacy of Bernie Sanders in favor of Hillary Clinton, who not only stood by her man in the face of numerous and credible sexual assault accusations, but worked to destroy the women accusing Bill, and can even be said to have enable the behavior of Bill. The stood by her despite the criminal and ethically challenged behavior from her when it came to her email server and the Clinton Foundation, among others. I don’t recall Blow complaining about Obama siccing the IRS on political opponents, either. Nor about Obama using the power of the US intelligence agencies to spy on citizens, including reporters.

Republicans sold their souls to this devil and now are forced to defend as right what they know full well is wrong. They must defend his incessant lying, clear incompetence and dubious dealings. What was once sacrilege among Republicans is now sacrosanct.

It is in that context that Gianforte could be charged with assault and Republicans would pat him on the back instead of rapping him on the knuckles.

Republicans, blinded by fear and rage, thirsty for power, desperate for a reclamation and reassertion of racial power, have cast their lot with the great deceiver and all their previous deal-breakers are now negotiable.

Uh huh

There’s plenty of other Democrats we can mention who are ethically challenged.

    A target-rich environment!

Of THAT, I have no doubt. Like the saying goes, if I have to explain it…

Outrageous. Assault is not a game. It’s not a joke. It’s criminal. Any moral person would know better than to treat it so cavalierly. A moral person wouldn’t make a joke; that person would take a stand.

Mishandling classified documents potentially put huge numbers at risk. Who was your candidate again?

But Republicans in the age of Trump have sadly moved away from morality as a viable concept.

Whereas Democrats have never been moral…

Yes, Gianforte’s assault is a glaring display of toxic masculinity in an environment made particularly toxic by the man in the White House and his media bullying.

No, dear boy, it’s a display of how little respect the press is now owed. Bonus points for using one of the idiot fringe’s latest buzzwords, “toxic masculinity”. I’m we need never worry about that from you.

This is all an outgrowth of Trump’s degradation of common decency.

No again, dear infant child. Democrats made this possible by shutting off all avenues of peaceful redress. I’m sure you were happy to demonize the TEA Party as racist redneck rubes, if I dive into your backstory.

Republicans sold their souls to this devil and now are forced to defend as right what they know full well is wrong. They must defend his incessant lying, clear incompetence and dubious dealings.

    You misspelled “Democrats”.

It is in that context that Gianforte could be charged with assault and Republicans would pat him on the back instead of rapping him on the knuckles.

Well, see, we USED to do that. Then we noticed that whenever a Democrat got caught doing anything immoral or illegal, he or she got promoted instead of fired.

If I went to the original article, I’m sure I could go on all day, but I have chores to do. I pass the torch to someone else who has their waders on.

Masculinity is toxic only to beta males, homosexual ‘bottoms,’ lesbians and feminists. We already know that weaklings tend to be more liberal, so this is not really a surprise.

Remember, with a female presidential candidate, 53% of white women cast their ballots for Donald Trump! Married women, who obviously like men, have long been a Republican constituency.

If the kind of masculinity which is acceptable to people like Mr Blow were the only kind around, the human race would have died out long ago.

I actually like Gianforte for his blasting the reporter and think we need more like him.

      • Old Codger says:

I, for one, am disgusted with Gianforte’s assault! I mean the reporter actually got back up! What kind of a smack-down is that when your nasty wretch of an opponent gets back up? Come on, Gianforte, as Obama said, “Hit ’em HARDER!”

We suggest that all liberals, gays, progressives, intellectuals, free press members, women, Mexicans and Muslims arm themselves and when they feel threatened, stand their ground, and shoot the threat in the chest at least twice.

Would you agree that the reporter, if carrying a knife, would have been justified in stabbing Giantfart upward from the xiphoid process as Giantfart was on top of him?

The inherent feelings of inferiority realized by conservative men has caused them to lash out. They are frustrated as their white christian male privilege, maintained by force for centuries, appears to be eroding. Women no longer know their place. Wives can screw around without the fear of getting pregnant. Negroes act all equal or something. Homos get special rights. Mexicans act like they belong. Mosques are going up. There’s a war on Xmas. It’s understandable they are fighting back in the only way they know how – violence. They can’t win debates (they can’t even respond rationally) so they resort to violence and the power of the State to restore “their” order.

New Conservatism is the greatest threat America has seen and must be annihilated.

Ah, the violent little anti-white racist guy rears his ugly little head.
      Again.

    • Dana says:

Jeffrey’s recent meme, “We suggest that all liberals, gays, progressives, intellectuals, free press members, women, Mexicans and Muslims arm themselves and when they feel threatened, stand their ground, and shoot the threat in the chest at least twice,” repeated several times over the last few days, seems to be that real men will suddenly fear “liberals, gays, progressives, intellectuals, free press members, women, Mexicans and Muslims” exercising their Second Amendment rights. That’s wholly nonsense: we favor all law-abiding citizens’ rights to keep and bear arms.

As for the “liberals, gays, progressives, intellectuals, free press members, women, Mexicans and Muslims,” there’s no real worry there: the ones we can respect will use their firearms in self-defense appropriately, while the ones we don’t respect are far more likely to soil themselves and run if faced with an actual threat, and if they ever do manage to draw their weapons, the likelihood that they could actually hit their target is vanishingly small.

      Jeffrey wrote:

Yet, oddly enough, those who Jeffrey tells us cannot win debates somehow still win elections. Seems that they manage to persuade the voters that they were right, and that’s all that matters.

Of course, Jeffrey will claim that conservatives have only won due to gerrymandering, but somehow, some way, Republicans have captured majorities in the Senate and gubernatorial seats, despite the fact that those are statewide races, not subject to gerrymandered districts. Jeffrey will ignore the fact that Republicans hold the majority of state legislative seats, in districts so small that gerrymandering is difficult.

Winning debates? Well, if we were to listen the the credentialed media, completely reflecting the culture of the major cities in which they live, why of course the left win all of the debates. When you throw in populations heavily tilted toward beta males, people so personally inept that they are permanently single, homosexual ‘bottoms,’ lesbians and feminists, it’s unsurprising. Too bad for the left that so much of the country is made up of real men and women.

Jeff, you do realize that your illogical rants make you look like a total fool? Are you commenting just to get some kind of strange sexual kick or to inform people of your bizarre world outlook and obvious bigotry and definite lack of knowledge? Whatever the purpose, your reputation is such that no one respects you are takes your information on face value. One thing is clear from your comments, if you represent the ideology of the liberal mind set, then liberals are clearly nuts.

    • Ed C says:

      You advocate a poor decision.

    • RonF says:

      Define “when they feel threatened”.

From what I read, there are millions of leftists out there that feel threatened when they hear a conservative speaker offer opinions that oppose theirs. They claim that the very act of expressing these opinions oppress them and even are equivalent to violence. So your statement seems to endorse shooting people for speaking their mind.

“New Conservatism is the greatest threat America has seen and must be annihilated.”

      Make your best move, boy.
      We’re waiting.

    • alanstorm says:

Bad idea, Jeffty – since all the identity groups you mention feel threatened be everything, there would be a dramatic rise in gunshot wounds (maybe not, we don’t know if they can aim worth a crap) and ammunition prices would go through the roof.

On the plus side, opposition to lightening of suppresor rules would go away due to concern for the delicate snowflakes’ constitutions.

He already has, many times. trump is clever vile enough to know that the police and gov’t agents are too moral to carry out his pogroms, but his cult followers have been waiting for a “leader” such as Hitler trump for two decades. They were waiting to be unleashed on the “enemy”.
