Bummer: Maxine Waters Forced To Again Admit There’s No Evidence

A week ago we discussed Crazy Maxine Waters, who’s constantly out and about doing her impeach Trump schtick, admitting she’s seen zero evidence of collusion vis a vis Russia and Trump. Well, she was on friendly ground, and forced to admit it again

(Daily Caller) One of President Trump’s harshest congressional critics acknowledged on Thursday that she has yet to see evidence of collusion between Trumpworld and the Russian government.

In an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” California Rep. Maxine Waters went through her usual schtick of calling for Trump’s impeachment. She made vague allegations of cooperation between the Trump campaign and Kremlin “in developing strategy about how they could ensure that Hillary Clinton was not elected.”

“I am talking about strategies that were developed, working with the Trump campaign. I really do believe that much of what you saw coming out of Trump’s mouth was a play from Putin’s playbook,” Waters said.

But after a two-minute diatribe, the Democrat was forced to acknowledge that she has yet to actually see evidence of collusion.

“But just to be clear, there has been no actual evidence yet?” Huffington Post editor Sam Stein asked Waters.

“No, it has not been,” Waters responded. “No it has not. And I want you to know every time I’ve talked about impeachment I’ve said we’ve got to connect the dots, we’ve got to get the facts, we’ve got to do the investigation. That is what leads to impeachment, and I’ve also said that Trump will lead us right there.”

So, when Mr. Trump is talking about this being a witch hunt, it may sound like whining, but, he’s correct.

When he says there’s no collusion, he’s right. So far, Democrats have offered zero evidence, just some vague allegations. But, Liberals love their conspiracy theories. After 9/11, the majority of Truthers were left leaners. Remember, 42% of Democrats thought Bush made 9/11 happen or let it happen. Another poll showed that over half of Democrats believe Bush was complicit in the 9/11 attacks. Democrats love their Derangement Syndromes, and love going on fishing expeditions.

Actually there is lots of evidence, just no definitive proof… yet. Sifting through and discovering new evidence in the face of White House interference is why investigations are conducted.

    for example:

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-russia-contacts-idUSKCN18E106
    U.S. | Thu May 18, 2017 | 1:07pm EDT
Exclusive: Trump campaign had at least 18 undisclosed contacts with Russians

It’s also why Deputy AG Rosenstein appointed a special counsel (and also to troll trump):

Late Wednesday afternoon, Rosenstein suddenly announced the appointment of a special prosecutor, former F.B.I. director Robert S. Mueller III, to take charge of the investigation into Russian attempts to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.

It was a stunning reversal for Rosenstein, who for weeks had been fending off congressional calls for just such a move. It was also—if the details are true—a stunning vote of no-confidence in President Donald Trump: Department of Justice sources say the White House was given only 30-minutes notice before the public announcement, and that Rosenstein had already signed the order at that point.

Will trump fire Mr. Rosenstein? And why is Rosenstein even involved? Oh that’s right, AG Jefferson Beauregard Sessions had to recuse himself for his own ties to the Russians, and for lying about failing to disclose them.

We understand why trump and his cult of followers want to slam the door on any continued investigations – they are most likely hiding something, and the inquiries will uncover embarrassing if not criminal findings.

A foreign entity attempted to interfere with our election. This foreign entity had multiple contacts and even ongoing relationships with senior members of the now president’s staff. This deserves looking into.

Another batshit crazy day in little guy’s world.

    • Uncle Dan says:

No. There is no evidence. Seven months later and no evidence. Dianne Feinstein was asked by Wolf Blitzer if any evidence of collusion and she too said no, but said there are a lot of rumors. You leftists are going to need to put up or shut up soon because this Russian nonsense is going to wear people out.
For me, Trump is a godsend! He’s changing the Supreme Court, the economy has roared back to life, climate change has been kicked to the curb where it belongs, America is showing strength again in foreign policy, efforts are being made to repeal Obamacare and taxpayer-funded abortions, gun rights are safe, American energy sources are being tapped, illegal immigration is slowing, and tax cuts are on the table. That’s just for starters!
      MAGA!

Must’ve touched a nerve there, huh, little guy to illicit such an original response from you.

Anyway, while I have the attention of your little mind, what specific crime, including what specific acts, are you accusing Trump of?

  3. Hank_M says:

Jeffery, You wrote: “Actually there is lots of evidence”.

What evidence is there that shows Trump and the Russians colluding to influence the election?

  4. Jeffery says:

Must’ve touched a nerve there, huh, little pup to illicit such an original response from you.

  5. Jeffery says:

    j,

You’re not aware of the evidence linking trump’s campaign with the Russians???

Did you read the Reuters article describing the tens of calls that trump’s campaign had with the Russians during the campaign? That is evidence. It doesn’t prove collusion though.

Don’t you agree that learning about the nature of these contacts is important? Especially, since the trump administration is working so hard to conceal information.

    • Jeffery says:

This should have been directed at Hank_M, not j. Sorry.

    • Hank_M says:

I read the link and note the following:

“Michael Flynn and other advisers to Donald Trump’s campaign were in contact with Russian officials and others with Kremlin ties in at least 18 calls and emails during the last seven months of the 2016 presidential race, current and former U.S. officials familiar with the exchanges told Reuters.”

“The people who described the contacts to Reuters said they had seen no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion between the campaign and Russia in the communications reviewed so far.”

“Those discussions focused on mending U.S.-Russian economic relations strained by sanctions imposed on Moscow, cooperating in fighting Islamic State in Syria and containing a more assertive China, the sources said.”

So no, I don’t see any evidence of wrongdoing or collusion. And this seems to be supported by the various democrats who have stated the same thing.

  6. Jeffery says:

On an unrelated note, TEACH typed:

42% of Democrats thought Bush made 9/11 happen or let it happen.

Note in the same poll that 20% of Repubs, 26% of cons, 33% of WalMart shoppers and a whopping 56% of singly people thought that. 58% of Repubs thought there should be an investigation of the Building 7 collapse

    and

over half of Democrats believe Bush was complicit

In the link TEACH supplied to support that, 52% of Repubs thought that trump won the popular vote, LOL.

Only 43% of Republicans believe the reality of biological evolution, and the number is dropping.

67% of churchgoers think the Earth is less the 10,000 years old. 58% of Republicans think that.

Contrary to TEACHs implication, Democrats have no monopoly on unsubstantiated beliefs.

  7. Jeffery says:

Should the US government investigate 1) the involvement of Russia in our election and/or 2) any coordination between Russia and the trump Campaign?

Clearly Russia interfered in our election.

Clearly, senior members of the trump campaign (many since fired) had repeated contacts with the Russians, and lied about the contacts (Sessions, Flynn, ??). Flynn was even paid by Russians.

    • drowningpuppies says:

Since the little guy worries so much about foreign influences, maybe Mueller should open up the investigation into foreign campaign donations (Obama), foreign donations to government officials’ charities (Clinton), and most of all, foreign influence over NGOs (Soros).

  8. Jeffery says:

trump did finally keep a campaign promise: He promised to have his AG appoint a special prosecutor to investigate criminals in the race, LOL.

    • Stosh says:

So special a prosecutor, the only crimes he’ll find will be Hillary & Obama’s. Jail time for the Demonkrats…

  9. Jeffery says:

WASHINGTON — President Trump told Russian officials in the Oval Office this month that firing the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, had relieved “great pressure” on him, according to a document summarizing the meeting.

“I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Mr. Trump said, according to the document, which was read to The New York Times by an American official. “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”

Mr. Trump added, “I’m not under investigation.”

    • drowningpuppies says:

      According to an anonymous source.
Yep, definitely an impeachable offense, right?
Little guy and the mean girl media are really reaching on this one.

  10. Jeffery says:

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/russian-officials-thought-they-could-use-flynn-to-influence-trump-report/ar-BBBjScO?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=edgsp

Russian officials boasted during the 2016 presidential race that they had cultivated such a strong relationship with former adviser Michael Flynn that they could use him to influence then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, CNN reported Friday.

The bragging reportedly troubled U.S. intelligence officials, some of whom sought to stymie what kind of information was given to him after Trump was elected and Flynn was tapped as his national security adviser.

  11. Jeffery says:

WASHINGTON – Investigators into Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential elections are now also probing whether White House officials have engaged in a cover-up, according to members of Congress who were briefed Friday by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

That avenue of investigation was added in recent weeks after assertions by former FBI Director James Comey that President Donald Trump had tried to dissuade him from pressing an investigation into the actions of Trump’s first national security adviser, retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, members of Congress said, though it was not clear whom that part of the probe might target.
Even as members of Congress were mulling over the expansion of the case into possible cover-up, and its reclassification from counterintelligence to criminal, the scandal appeared to grow. The Washington Post reported Friday afternoon that federal investigators were looking at a senior White House official as a “significant person of interest.” The article did not identify the official, though it noted that the person was “someone close to the president.”
