Bummer: Only 9% Of Americans Are Worried About ‘Climate Change’

There was a recent poll, one which has made many UK news sites very upset, with headlines such as

British people as unconcerned about climate change as Americans and Saudis

The UK is ranked 15th among all the countries surveyed when it comes to Hotcoldwetdry, out of 17 countries. Among the various issues for the survey, the question revolved around which one the individual surveyed considered the most serious. We know Saudi Arabia was one of the ones with less concern than the UK. I’m sure you can guess which country ranked lower than the UK

(Daily Caller)  A YouGov poll of 18,000 people in 17 countries found only 9.2 percent of Americans rank global warming as their biggest concern. Only Saudi Arabians were less concerned about global warming at 5.7 percent. The biggest concern for Americans was global terrorism — 28 percent of Americans polled listed this as their top issue.

Despite a big PR push by President Barack Obama to tout his administration’s global warming agenda, most Americans have been unconvinced it’s the country’s most pressing issue. A Fox News poll from November found only 3 percent of Americans list global warming as their top concern.

90.8%, to be exact, picked something other than Hotcoldwetdry.

On the bright side for Warmists, ‘climate change’ didn’t end up last or dead last like normal. It came in 3rd when all 17 countries were put together. But, another point made is, women are slightly less concerned about Hotcoldwetdry than men, which is interesting considering how the Cult of Climastology has been pandering to women and telling them that AGW is going to cause them a lot of problems. Perhaps women don’t care that much, or, at least, think other issues are way more important than a tiny increase in global temps. Oh, and, if you hadn’t noticed, women are world class BS detectors. Think they can’t figure out when someone is trying to pull a fast one? Sure, not every time, but, quite often.

Yes teach on the bright side we ranked slightly ahead of
    Saudi Arabia
    But not by much
Do you see the Saudis as being natural allies in denial?
Should we look at them as being more enlightened and educated than the USA?
Do you think we should use them as a guiding beacon?

    From the linked article:

Relative to other countries, Britain cares more about terrorism, population growth, armed conflicts, economic instability and energy scarcity.

Guessing that “population growth” actually means swarthy population growth, every one of those issues is a current or near-term issue, one which could be expected to, if handled badly, make Britons poorer. The proposals concerning global warming climate change would also make Britons poorer, but the problem, if it actually exists, is decades in the future. People with actual common sense — a categorization which excludes warmists, and leftists in general — realize that the public will be more concerned with more immediate problems.

Did you read the article you referenced? Did you understand it?

New YouGov research reveals climate change is considered the third most serious issue facing the world by the world’s population, with a 12.8% share of concern, behind international terrorism (25.1%) and poverty, hunger and the lack of drinking water (15.2%).

75% of the world picked something other than global terrorism as top threat!

You’re not fighting a losing battle, you’re fighting a lost battle! LOL. Time to find a new windmill to fight.

  4. And Jeff proves he didn’t read the post, because I specifically mentioned. It came in 3rd overall for all 17 countries surveyed

    William:

So you knew it was one of the most important issues and typed your post anyway??

    Why would you do that?

You’re not fighting a losing battle, you’re fighting a lost battle!

And isn’t your headline misleading (actually a lie)?

Only 9% Of Americans Are Worried About ‘Climate Change’

The survey results said that 9.2% ranked it highest, not that only 9.2% were worried about it. I’m sure you can revise your headline to make it true.

Your headline makes sense if you don’t think about it.

“You’re fighting a lost battle..” Not by a long shot. The truth will win out over government adjusted data. Especially if we don’t have another idiot liberal as president.
