Baltimore Is Totally Trying To Take Back Their Streets Or Something

This is typical in big cities run mostly/solely by members of the Democratic Party. Crime running rampant, so they come up with all sorts of squishy feel good measures. Baltimore just tried a 300 Man March on bikes to stop the violence. There are demonstrations and marches and sermons and this and that, but, there rarely ever seems to be “hey, let’s go arrest the hell out of the bad people and prosecute them”. Which plays into a statement by Baltimore’s mayor

National Night Out seeks to reclaim Baltimore’s streets, image

The onslaught of violence in Baltimore this summer isn’t only devastating the victims, their families and friends, Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young said Tuesday — it’s also embarrassing the city on a national level.

“The image they’re showing of our city is sickening,” Young said told a crowd in Park Heights during a National Night Out celebration.

They should have worried about that when the police were essentially told to stand down and the mayor said to give looters space to destroy, all broadcast on live TV.

Forty-five people were killed in July, the city’s deadliest month in four decades, and 116 have been slain between May and last month — a three-month record.

At events around the city Tuesday night, Young, Mayor Stephanie-Rawlings Blake, interim Police Commissioner Kevin Davis and other officials declared their intent to “take back” the neighborhoods from those who are committing crimes and turn Baltimore’s image around.

“The community is coming out to say, ‘Enough is enough,'” Rawlings-Blake said. “‘We want to work in partnership for a safer Baltimore.'”

This has been done time and time again in Baltimore and other cities. Yet, they keep needing to do this kind of thing. I wonder why?

“Too many in our community know who the perpetrators are,” Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blacks said. “We know who is perpetrating the violence. We have to speak up, we can’t be silent. That’s what National Night Out is about, to say we’re going to come forward and reclaim our streets.”

If you know who they are, why not roust them, arrest them, and prosecute them? Snitch them out. What, exactly, does “speaking up” do? Does she think the criminal element will suddenly have a change of heart? The criminals know exactly who owns the streets, and it is not the mayor and her ilk, not when they are soft on crime.

Neighbors line-danced to the “Cupid Shuffle” and enjoyed burgers and hot dogs, while kids jumped rope and played in two bouncy castles.

I’m sure this totally made the criminals all squishy inside and change their minds.

Councilwoman Sharon Green Middleton stirred up the celebrants and spoke to their dedication.

“That is what brings pride back into your community,” she said. “I can’t thank you all enough for coming together.”

Nothing says pride like watching your neighbors loot, pillage and commit arson in your own neighborhood. On the bright side, there were no reported shootings Tuesday overnight into Wednesday. Unlike with this poor unlucky soul the previous night

Don’t forget, this a totally Democratic Party run city.

    But, but, but, that’s raaaaacist!

The people in the community already know: you “snitch them out,” and you are likely to wind up stone-cold graveyard dead.

I don’t know about the Charm City, but in the City of Brotherly Love, many, many cases are dropped because witnesses fail to appear, because witnesses are intimidated by the friends of the accused, who let them know that if they testify, it will not turn out well for them.

Timely post. This is exactly what I was talking with a co-worker about this morning. He mentioned the TV show “The First 48” where they follow the police investigators through actual murders (which on a side note, the perps and victims are, in most cases, black). At the end of the program, after the killer is found and arrested, there is invariably some kind of memorial or vigil for the victim where the whole neighborhood gets together to “take back our streets” and “stop the violence”. But when the police and detectives come around to ask questions or to seek witnesses, everyone is all Sgt. Schulz…”I know nothing, I see nothing!!” Pathetic. Just the other day, a black kid was beat mercilessly by other black kids. His crime? He made the school honor role. Is it any wonder these kids in the Democrat run big cities are what they are?

I am from Baltimore with relatives who still live there.

It is amazing how far the City has gone down.

At one point in time (and as far as I know still goes on) the City put blue lights up on the poles on the corners of certain blocks. The blue lights meant the area was a high crime area and you should enter at your own risk.

THAT is the idea of the City of Baltimore addressing crime.

In 2013 many states and cities enacted more gun control laws than before and saw a rise in shootings.

    The solution?

They plan on having even more gun control laws.

There is an expression that if you keep doing the same things over again to address a problem then you are insane.

So why do these people march and dance and sing as a result? Because these people are insane.

One because they think government is the solution to a government created problem and two, because they think criminals are negatively impacted by gun control laws.

In fact the very opposite is true and this may well be what is going on in these cities with high gun violence like Baltimore and Chicago.

When the government restricts or bans products or services, they don’t just disappear. Those transaction occur under the blanket of night and in back alleys instead. Usually by those who are not necessarily the best of our society.

Criminal elements are empowered and start to make money on illegal products and activities which in turn makes for more violence because disputes have to be addressed with violence rather than through a CIVIL court system.

So as this government gets bigger and more involved in making laws, it will be also making black markets where the bad can make money hand over fist.

As it’s been said over and over again. Government is not the solution to our problems…. Government IS the problem.

Marching soldier like cops down the streets and acting like gestapo or the nazi SS is not going to stop the violence either, rather it will guarantee more violence as the government will be a part of the gang element shooting up neighborhoods and driving around in armored vehicles.

So both the Democrats and the Republicans fail at addressing and solving the problem of gun violence.

The only answer is to END THE GOVERNMENT.
