Was Paul Revere An Alarmist?

For a pre-Independence Day post, this is what we get from the Hufftard Post with the same title

On this Independence Day, it is worth reflecting on the willingness of our founding fathers to sacrifice their own comforts for the future–for many generations to come, including ours.

They didn’t argue about discount rates, or how expensive it would be, or if fighting the British would be cost effective in the long run. Imagine what would have happened if the “skeptics” had been given equal time, or if the patriots had lacked the will to “mitigate the threat”.

What follows that is the notion that people dare question things like “climate change”, which seems to be the bulk of it. Also, that Fox News dares to provide views which differ from those of the far left. This is the kind of drivel we get from Leftist wankers on Independence Day.

Because, at their heart of hearts, Progressives/Warmists are utter fascists who hate the notion of Free Speech when people are allowed to say things that the P/Ws disagree with.

Fox News typically gets about 10% of the viewers during the prime time news hour. Free Speech??? it is the radical right that is always complaining that the media (which people CHOOSE to use) is horribly biased. Teach YOU are always complaining about the left and media,
Gallup says that 40% of the GOP believes in climate change. My guess is that they are the mideast farmers who last year suffered the hottest summer ever and a continuing worst drought ever.. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/10/republicans-global-warming-climate-change_n_3053037.html
As long as the GOP panders to the most radical right of their party they will run 2nd to the Dems in national elections.

FOX News Channel Continues Cable News Dominance

FNC has been #1 in Total Day and Primetime for 46 consecutive quarters and 138 consecutive months in total viewers. For the second quarter, FNC had a clean sweep of the top 13 programs in cable news based on total viewers for the entire quarter and claimed 9 out of the top 10 programs based on Adults 25-54.

As for your contention on climate change, obviously you did not read your own cited article:

In the study, 40 percent of Republicans said they worry a great deal or fair amount about global warming, up from 32 percent in 2012. 75 percent of Democrats gave similar answers, down from 79 percent last year</strong>.

The poll comes a day after another Gallup study which found more Americans concerned about climate change than in recent years, though not the record support seen in 2000.

So looking at the article you provided, Democrats are not believing in the hysteria and the support is down overall.

It is unbelievable that you would trot out such nonsense and expect people to take you seriously.

If sheeple STILL believe in man made global; warming/cooling/change, they are either stupid or suffering from self imposed ignorance. East Anglia proved the deception. The Goracle sealed the deal by selling out to the Mideast. And We The People are stuck with poisonous light bulbs, dinky cars and toilets that don’t flush……wth!

In fairness, The British were coming… Global warming, if it’s coming at all, isn’t coming quickly. The situations are not even remotely similar.

I give the Huffpo article 4 turds. 5 if you wait until after dinner.
