Turkish Muslim Group Accuses Lego Of Raaaaacism

It’s been awhile, but they finally found something to be outraged about. What is it? This

(Telegraph) Austria’s Turkish community said the model was based on Hagia Sophia mosque in Istanbul and that the accompanying figures depicted Asians and Orientals as people with “deceitful and criminal personalities.”

The Turkish Cultural Community of Austria released a statement calling for Lego to apologise for affronting religious and cultural feelings.

The anger was provoked by “Jabba’s Palace”, a model of the home of Jabba the Hutt from Lego’s Star Wars product range based on the blockbusting series of science fiction films.

Jabba’s domed home and accompanying watchtower bear, according to the statement, an unwanted resemblance to Istanbul’s great Hagia Sophia, and another mosque in Beirut.

Good grief. Get over it. They won’t

As an indication of the anger felt over Jabba’s Palace, the organisation said it was considering taking legal action against Lego for inciting racial hatred and insulting human dignity.

I wonder if Lego can sue the organization for stupidity and being annoying?

Yesterday’s Congressional Hearings on the Benghazi affair were a sick joke and a waste of time, and nothing was accomplished.

Slimy Democrats like Engel, Sherman and Meeks were there only to kiss the hem of Hillary Clinton’s dress, to create distractions and to advance their insideous Communist agenda without any regard for the events in Benghazi on 9/11. In fact, that slimy low-life, Hillary Clinton, actually asked that braindead committee, who cares how those four men were killed?

Republicans were conscientious, but they were overshadowed by the despicable antics of the slimy Democrats.

Regarding those disgusting hearings yesterday, can anybody tell me what the hell Democrat and American Samoa Delegate, Eni F. H. Fa;eomavaega, is doing on that committee, or on any Congressional Committee?

Always to my bewilderment, I’ve seen him on a few other committees. He represents only a tiny enclave of welfare recipients, and as far as I have been able to tell, the only function that he serves is to kiss the asses of Democrats on committees, which, no doubt, is how he got and keeps his silly job.

He is always creatinhg annoying distractions, disruptions and diversions by raising extraneos and irrelevant issues, and by submitting dumb questions and assinine statements, and clearly he doesn’t have a freaking clue what is going on, and he just likes to hear himself talk, serving absolutely no useful purpose whatsoever

I’m inclined to cut the Turks some slack.

They were one of our staunchest allies*, until the usual incessant troublemakers in our Congress recently picked on them for an event that occurred in Armenia, of all places, about a hundred years ago – at best a senseless provocation that understandably offended them and made them very touchy, especially since that stupid blunder was just another blunder in a whole series of blunders by Democrats which have completely destabilized the entire Middle East, alienating even our other allies in that region, not just Turkey.

And Democrats praise Hillary Clinton? Our laziest, most irresponsible, most obtuse and most incompetent Secretary Of State in the history of this country.

*Ulike any other country in the Middle East, Turks voluntarily fought (and died) alongside Americans and Brits in Korea, and at great risk to themselves, they provided a deterrant against Soviet aggression with ICBM sites in their country; just two of many favors which they have graciously done for the USA.

Although Turkish troops will gladly continue to fight alongside U. S. Marines, with whom they have a strong rapport, they flatly refuse to fight alongside U. S. Army troops, because during the Korean War there was an incident in which, as Turkish and U. S. Army troops were being overrun by hoards of Communist Chinese troops, the Americans panicked, broke and ran in terror, leaving the flank of the Turks so exposed that they were slaughtered by the Communist Chinese who simply rolled up the flank of the Turks. That is why the Turks were less than enthusiastic about participating or even cooperating in Desert Shield/Desert Storm and in Operation Iraqi Freedom. A little known fact is that they did provide us with valuable intel, though. True story. I know Turks. They’re good people.

    per the topic:
Teach, what is funny, is that the image of the Jabba Palace is not new. It has been known and envisioned for over a decade. It has been on animated cartoons for almost a decade. And, yes, the Jabbas are a house of criminals and they do hire out some of the more unsavory types. Hence, the reason scruffy-headed Han got mixed up with them.

Don’t recall them looking like asians (not muslim) and muslims (which, is not a race).

Ahhh, this is another item where the moslems are hyper-sensitive.

This Lego set really resembles an ancient Christian church (cathedral), the ‘Hagia Sophia’.

Located in the city formerly called Constantinople, of the ancient Eastern Roman Empire.

The moslems (Ottoman Turks) did invade in 1452 a.d., converted the cathedral into a mosque, and renamed the city, Istanbul(Turkey).

Should we bother to inquire what happened to the christian occupants of the city?

No Patriot. That would be racially insensitive to ask them.
