Surprise! 70K British Jobs Could Disappear Due To Hotcoldwetdry Legislation

But, you know,we’re saving Gaia from getting a fever

(Daily Mail)Up to 70,000 British jobs are at risk as a direct result of European carbon reduction targets, according to a report.

The policies have pushed up the cost of energy, threatening the vital mineral industries which deal in materials such as cement, chemicals, glass, ceramics and steel, the study claims.

It says the aluminium industry has been ‘virtually eradicated’ after closures in Anglesey and Northumberland, and blames policies which penalise ‘energy-intensive’ industries for emitting too much carbon dioxide.

Strange how Warmist policies always seem to hurt people, eh?

And don’t forget that the average “bloke on the street” energy bill for his home is projected to double this year in England as well.

Add to that, the costs that will be passed onto consumers by shop owners and businesses, the lies of of people like john who continue to claim that green energy is cheap and cost effective really come to light.

  2. Don’t you find it interesting that people like John never seem to go all in and actually switch over to these “green” energy methods themselves?

dont forget the hundreds of thousands being put out of work over next few years due to EPA craptastic unscientific regulations.

Then, add on extra taxes on businesses and fines, and businesses reducing their work force…. you got the makings of a GRANDDADDY of all depressions.

Hey, I know perfect thing to do to an economy that is still in the tanks since the depression of 2008, high unemployment, and high energy and commodity prices….. LET’S RAISE TAXES AND REGULATIONS!!!!

Coal is the dirtiest way of generating electricity Its time is almost over. Bummer for those who still want to live in the past.

  5. Gumball_Brains says:

It’s only you socialist trolls that want to END energy altogether. Instead of advocating for clean and renewable nuclear energy, heck, even natural gas-based energy, you twits want to block all energy sources that can power more than a couple houses for a couple of hours.

I used to find liberal hypocrisy “interesting.” Now I just find it sad and pathetic.

Coal is the dirtiest way of generating electricity Its time is almost over.

Nope. Sorry. Over the lifetime of generation, (manufacture, generation and dismantling) wind and solar is far more environmentally damaging.

You lose on the facts again, johnny boy
