I never got around to this Sunday, as websites noticed this quietly released study published in the UK Daily Mail on the 13th
The world stopped getting warmer almost 16 years ago, according to new data released last week.
The figures, which have triggered debate among climate scientists, reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012, there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures.
This means that the ‘plateau’ or ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996. Before that, temperatures had been stable or declining for about 40 years.
The new data, compiled from more than 3,000 measuring points on land and sea, was issued quietly on the internet, without any media fanfare, and, until today, it has not been reported.
This stands in sharp contrast to the release of the previous figures six months ago, which went only to the end of 2010 – a very warm year.
Ending the data then means it is possible to show a slight warming trend since 1997, but 2011 and the first eight months of 2012 were much cooler, and thus this trend is erased.
More importantly, the data shows that the computer models, smoothing methods (of which Warmist scientists refuse to release their raw data and methodology, which means no one can attempt to replicated the conclusions, about as anti-science as one can get), studies of tree rings amongst a small number of trees, and other Warmist prognostications are a huge load of mule fritters.
According to the Warmist doctrine, rising CO2 from Mankind should lead to continuously escalating global temperatures. Alas, no. That didn’t happen. Hence, they took to spinning fantasies in order to blame every weather occurrence, including cold weather and snow, on Mankind’s greenhouse gas output in an attempt to protect their pseudo-religion. Plus, more importantly, their paychecks and taxpayer funding. All while refusing to do anything meaningful to reduce their own GHG output.

But, that is also due to man-induced global warming. The decreased ice in Artic is due to man-induced winds and ozone hole. The increased ice in the Antartic is due to man-induced winds and ozone hole. The floods and drought are due to man-induced global warming. The fires and freezes are due to man-induced global warming.
Oh, and earthquakes and volcanos are due to man-induced global warming CO2.
So, all your flat-lines are belong to us.
We can’t believe this till the scientist review the chart and tell us that the temps are low. Otherwise, we don’t have enough smarts to figure it out.

I dunno, it was pretty hot this summer.
But it’s been getting cooler this fall. AND, I hear tell that the winter up here in the Northeast, might actually get cold. Or not; we’ve had a lot of very wintry winters and some mild ones in my lifetime.
And we’ve had not so hot summers, too. Hmm.
Conclusion- climate changes.
Isn’t it funny and ironic that those who believe in nature, believe in the fact that our climate has changed throughout history (however long that was), that our climate has changed even within the last 50-100 years, that we are called “deniers”.
And that those who have given us this information over the decades are the ones that now ignore that data and tell us that our climate SHOULD be static.
(yes, I am speaking in generalities, but it helps to make a point)
(and yes, we know that half of the CAGW crowd point to a “dramatic” changing of climate for their belief system)
Half of the CAGW crown believe that man has created a runaway changing climate that only man’s taxation can solve. And, its supposed people of science who are pushing this ideology.
