Snap! Janet Napolitano Hasn’t Read The Arizona Illegal Bill, Either, Plus ACLU Sues

Let me get this straight: we are constantly told that Liberals are just so much smarter than everyone else, yet, they keep chiming in on subjects that they haven’t bothered to learn the facts on. Remember when Obama said the Cambridge PD “acted stupidly”? Most failed to read the Stimulus and ObamaCare bills, and even said they couldn’t understand it if they did. Henry Waxman said he didn’t read his own Cap & Tax legislation. Then you had Eric Holder, the top cop in the nation, who expounded about the evils of the Arizona illegals bill, yet, admitted he didn’t read it. Now we have Janet Napolitano, the person in charge of homeland security (sic), who admits the same (see Real Clear Politics for the video)

Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano admits she hasn’t read the Arizona immigration law, but passed judgment on it anyway. “That’s not the kind of law I would have signed,” she declared.

“I believe it’s a bad law enforcement law. I believe it mandates and requires local enforcement and puts them in a position many do not want to be placed in,” Napolitano said.

Is there anyone in the Obama admin. who is capable of actually enjoying some literary pursuits prior to holding forth? I guess they are simply too busy partying and ruining America, while running around the world apologizing for our greatness. Oh, and losing allies and partners.

Oh, and look, the ACLU is giving the lawsuit route a test, after so many others have already been dropped

The lawsuit is at least the fourth filed since Republican Gov. Jan Brewer last month signed the law, which makes it a state crime to lack immigration paperwork in Arizona and requires police to determine the status of people they suspect are illegal immigrants. The federal class-action claim contends that the law will lead to widespread racial profiling, infringes on the federal government’s ability to set immigration policy and violates the Constitution’s 1st and 4th amendments.

“This law is shameful, un-American, it will undermine public safety and it is unconstitutional,” said Lucas Guttentag, an attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union, among the groups that filed the suit. Also named are the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the National Assn. for the Advancement of Colored People and the Asian Pacific American Legal Center.

Can’t wait to see the ACLU lawyers argue in court in favor of people who are breaking the laws of the land. Here comes the kicker

The individual plaintiffs include a 70-year-old U.S. citizen of Spanish and Chinese descent who says he’s been stopped twice by Arizona police asking for “papers”; a Latino citizen studying at Arizona State University whose New Mexico driver’s license would not be accepted as proof of citizenship under the law; and a Jamaican immigrant who fears police will not believe the photocopy of a judge’s order that he be allowed to stay in the country, the only paperwork he has that gives him legal status here.

LOL! For the first person, the law hasn’t even gone into affect yet, so, the ACLU would be suing over, what, exactly? Is the second person an illegal? As for the third, we are now suing over future worries over things that haven’t happened?

There’s a very special place in hell for the ACLU. And SEIU. And Acorn. It’s waaaaaay down at the deepest depths.
