The following Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works hearings have been postponed due to inclement weather this week:
- The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, Subcommittee on Water and Wildlife, will hold a hearing entitled, “Collaborative Solutions to Wildlife and Habitat Management.”
- The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works will hold a hearing entitled, “Global Warming Impacts, Including Public Health, in the United States.“
Meanwhile, an idiot on MSNBC told 4 viewers
“Here’s the problem – these ‘snowpocalypses’ that have been going through D.C. and other extreme weather events are precisely what climate scientists have been predicting, fearing and anticipating because of global warming,” Ratigan said.
Got that? Global warming causes massive snow.
Wondering how long it will take realsick or BSr or johnny to come along and say ‘but the poles are warmer.’

Ice melt in Antarctic has been dropping precipitously the last several years. And Arctic temperatures took a very sudden dive right about the time of the Nopenhagen / DC blizzards.
“Precisely what climate scientists have been predicting!” Except, you know, when they totally failed to predict this.

Actually, my response is that “global warming” doesn’t mean that we will never have winter, or that it will never snow again.
