I was first made aware in April, of the use of the term “Tea bagging” to refer to people who attend protest against this governments wild spending, while reading my local newspapers online comment board. After attending a Tea Party, which was featured in the Sunday paper and comments were being made, but when I defended the position that we have the right to hold these events, I was accused of being “Tea Bagged” by a guy that this commenter named who was not even at the event in question. This comment was made by some man (loose term) who I never met but who is very vocal in our paper. The paper promptly removed the horrible comment, but this same guy continues to post foul things, and gets away with it unless and until he gets reported. He’s a far left liberal who hates anything conservative, and says so in every opinion or column he can comment on. He has also chosen to write about me when I am not even on the comments section, but I don’t know his true identity. That’s the kind of person who uses the derogatory term “Tea Bag”, him and our president apparently. No class, all ego.

No, John. Your leftie buddies did NOT just take Rush’s words at face value. they took a snippet, removed all signs of context, and invented a story to fit the echo chamber. Which is the only way you leftist weenies can even attempt to debate. Trying to have a meaningful discussion with a leftist is like playing Calvinball; when the facts are against you (as they usually are) you just ignore them and make up the rules as you go.

As for your assertion that it was Conservatives that started the whole “teabag” nonsense, how about YOU post that link? I’ve been Googling for the better part of two hours, and I have yet to find an actual quote or footage of this being started on the Right. And by all means, do explain to me how a reporter calling people tea-baggers compares to a SITTING PRESIDENT using a foul sexual slur with homosexual undertones to describe roughly half of the country.

And lastly, you lefties LOVE claiming that we want Obama and the country to fail, but you never back it up with anything substantial. You just piss and moan about Rush saying he wanted Obama to fail, yet you never look into the MEANING behind the statement because it will prove that your statement is contradictory. We want Obama to fail because his policies will ruin our country, ie cause our country to fail. If Obama’s policies fail, then our country will be able to come out of this recession (caused largely by Dem policies).

If Obama would pull his head out of Soros’s ass and actually do something that would benefit this country, then we would be behind him 100%. But Cap and Trade, Card Check, HOPER health care, weakening our defense, and screwing over our military will do absolutely nothing to help, and a great deal to harm. Even now, the abortion amendment used to get enough votes is about to be stripped. Tell me, how does the murder of babies help our country? How does promising to remove the possibility of federal funds for abortions, then working to remove that amendment help our country? How does refusing to commit the soldiers needed to fight a war help our country? How does weakening our defense and alienating the few remaining allies we have help our country? How does ignoring Iran’s quest for nuclear weapons while chastising Israel for defending themselves help our country? How does letting China drill for oil off our coasts while refusing to allow American oil companies drill help our country? How does giving other countries money to open nuclear plants while refusing to allow them in the US help our country?

These are but a few of Obama’s policies. You’re damn right we want them to fail, because if they succeed, then our country WILL fail.

TFMO plese post a link showing that “promise” my recollection was that a shelter dog was ONE of the options. As for “teabaggers” being a slur, that was what they called themselves, at least in the beginning.Here we are still at war in two different places and the radical right is still hoping that the POTUS will fail and that the country he was elected to serve will also fail. Pathetic. Something that the right wing DID NOT do when we were fighting in WW II They all supported the POTUS
